I'm breaking internet silence briefly to get our condo up so you'll all know we're still here.
Harvey had a rough morning. He ate about half his t/f/s meal and a little of his breakfast, and then nothing, so I gave him his tummy meds. About an hour later he threw up all the food he'd had.
I decided to give him about half an hour to see how he did, then I was going to give him a shot of Ondansetron. Only twenty minutes passed and then he wanted to eat. NOT either of the flavors he'd just thrown up, though. I offered baby food, but he only took a couple of licks (he used to adore it, but the past few months he hasn't been interested in it). I opened a fresh can of food and he was right under my feet and ate every bite. I had only given a small amount, and I made him wait 15 minutes before I gave him more. He did fine, so he got seconds, then 15 minutes later he got thirds. Then I gave him the rest of his meds. His appy petered out after that, but about ten minutes after I picked up his dishes (at +10), he showed up looking for a snack. Sorry, bud. You're waiting for dinner now!
I was so excited by the green AMPS and was hoping for an all green day, but alas, he's already blown it.
I thought the pantry would take me a full day. I got a late start yesterday, and progress was further thwarted around 4:30 pm when the A/C decided to check out.
DH came home soon after and checked everything he could think of, with no enlightenment. We have a whole house warranty, so I got on line and submitted a service request. This morning I got a call bright and early. The next available appointment was today (yay!), between 11 & 2 (boo!). DH and I were scheduled for our quarterly lunch with our financial advisor at noon, so I asked when the next appointment would be. Monday!
So much for lunch! DH would have to go it alone. I went back to working on the pantry, and the guy showed up at 1:40. He soon found the issue: the control board on the furnace had gone bad. He didn't know how soon they could get a new one, but it' will be at least Monday before it can be fixed.
It wasn't bad out today (mid 80s with a cool breeze), but it's supposed to get progressively hotter starting tomorrow.
Expect me to be very grouchy!
I finally got everything out of the pantry, purging and repackaging along the way. There are no empty surfaces on the first floor of the house - everything is full of stuff from that pantry! Good thing I have leftovers for dinner, as there's no room to prepare a meal.
Looks like it will be TV trays in the family room again tonight.
I'm planning to get in there and cleans after t/f/s, then I'll start putting in some shelf paper later tonight and hopefully get everything back in tomorrow. I have a big garbage bag full of stuff I threw out. I'm a packrat, but I think I did a pretty good job of purging.
My DFIL had his cardioversion today. It was unsuccessful in solving his issues, so they put him on some meds and they'll try again in 5 weeks. He sounded pretty discouraged on the phone this afternoon. He's always taken such good care of himself that this is just driving him nuts.
Sending healing vines to all in need and hugs to all their beans.
Vines and prayers to Elise for her DM.

to Amy and her family as they adjust to life with a big hole in their hearts.

(That's not a facepalm smiley. That's me hiding my eyes.)
