Re: 7/21 Chi Chi 202+2.5 88+4 54+4.5 55+5 42+5.5 87+7 157
Thanks Julie!!!! I showed this to mom...she says she does it for me and Chi Chi, cuz she shore dont like doin it!

She said Chi Chi was really hard to test today too. She was prepared to test at +8, but Chi Chi went under the bed again(storms/thunder), and mom just decided to leave her alone. Well, I walked in the door at 7pm and Chi Chi was eating the droolers leftovers from her dish! I tested her within 5 minutes and she was 280. I decided to shoot through the bounce tonight. About the reduction..I want to take the .25 in the am and here is my reasoning behind that, which is just
my reason mind you. You can weigh in with any thoughts. I looked at her ss and it seems that since she has been on the current dose of 2.5, she has finally settled in to it and it seems to me that she needs less. She has gone green and then bounced several times, but the bounce has been decreasing in duration up to today, where she hit green early and went to 42 even after lc food. I will take her back up if I dont see green in the coming days. I don't know if my mom is ready for another day like today anytime soon, although I know she will do what she needs to do to keep her safe. Remember, she is almost 80, and she forgets to pick up the droolers food, and has given the wrong food etc. in the past. I am just grateful that she is testing. Also, Chi Chi has been on insulin now for 6 months, but the first 3 months(need to check to be exact), I was only testing amps/pmps and on my 1 day off, so I really haven't had 6 months of proper data, only 3. I just feel like Ive only been properly dosing her for a shorter time than the rule of 3 times below 50 would apply to. Make sense? Anyway, Im going to 2.25 in the am. and go from there...whew..that was long @-)
