JoyBee, since he was 200 at +9 and 124 at AMPS you may want to get an early test today, maybe at +1 or +2.

It probably is but it could also be food-influenced if he had eaten within the last 2 hours of the +5 test. We'll know with the next test!

I'll need insulin soon I want to try Levemir. Do I keep the same dose as Lantus?Is there anything different i should Know?

We typically start the Levemir dose at 70% of the Lantus dose at the time. Some kitties have strong reaction to the change, so the reduction is for safety.

How do I figure 70% of 1.5 units of Lantus? ( 1 unit?)
The pharmacies in my area will not sell me one pen of Levemir. Is there anyone here that has info about buying one pen?

That's close to 1.0 units. But who knows if Ravan will still be onnthat dose when/if you switch. Just multiply the dose by 0.7.

I'm looking if anyone is selling Levemir pens but I guess not The supply cabinet posts are kinda old Most are selling Lantus,

Every time someone comments in a post, it gets "bumped" to the top of the page. So usually in the information posts members just put "bump" to get it to the top again so members see/read it.

"Bump" help the get the post back to the top of the list so it's seen.

In supply closet is Alan who will and sends insulin. Send him a message and ask if he has any. It's where I got some of my lev from. You can also create a new post in the supply closet and ask if anyone has some. If your going to be on it for awhile, it's better to get the box of 5 pens.

Expiration date is 2 yrs out. I just got some from him couple of months ago and expiration is 2020. I paid $185 for box of 5 plus shipping.
