Can't monitor this morning so decided on NS. Marvin decided to move his head right when I was squeezing the trigger for the cabogoline dose.... it landed on the counter...had to give him another... one lost dose and only 1 left now...hope it will be ready for tomorrow or saterday morning

How is the cabogoline administered? What's the dose? I'm just curious how you and the vet decided on how much to give? I'm still in awe of Marvin's progress!

It's AMBG (blood glucose) not AMPS (preshot) when you don't gve insulin. Go Marvin! If you let the compounder know it's urgent, often they can get things ready a little faster - or at least a small amount of the drug to tide you over.

@Mandy & Rex - It's a liquid med. The amount is as per the Royal Veterinary Clinic who are doing a study on the use of cabergoline for acromegalic cats. Most local vets know nothing about acromegaly, much less treatments for it. Thankfully some are willing to learn, like Nat's vet.

Missed Marvin' evening shot, Plus 2.5 if shot had been given is 106. I am kind ofB amazed at the number since no am or pm shots and his numbers from mid-day is down. Very interesting.

decided not to give so I could start fresh tomorrow at a good time. Seems to be holding his numbers well. Good news the compound pharmacy said they have the syringes with the 1/2 markings, so will pick up there. Bad new car repairs broke the bank, and couldn't afford to get the AC fix..... d'oh
