7/20 Jasmine's Spreadsheet

Hi all. Still kind of new here and learning. I have completed Jasmine's spreadsheet and was hoping someone can look at it and make any suggestions/adjustments if needed. Jazz was diagnosed June 11 and began Lantus June 13. I'd love for her to achieve remission but need help here. The vet is certainly no help! Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the best place you never wanted to be. Please read this sticky as well as making the most of your experience and the dosing methods used here.

It’s a lot of information I know and you will surely have lots of questions which is fine. You are ahead of many by testing at home as this will keep Jasmine safe.

I’ll be right back after I look at your spreadsheet.

I see you did a curve yesterday and based on the length of time you are holding the dose are probably following SLGS. Don’t worry about your vet not being of much help. We can help you. Based on your curve it’s time to go up to 1.75. You can do it tonight but wait until tomorrow morning if you prefer. I hated increasing at night as Max often responded quickly and so doing so in the morning made sense.

Thank you! Yes I will wait until the morning. I'm also uncomfortable increasing at night especially after the one morning she was 56! She had a vet appt tomorrow for one month check but all they were going to do is a +6. So I canceled. I really need to find a new vet!

If you are happy with how your vet treats other issues we can help you with diabetic matters. It’s hard to find a really good vet and even harder with Covid, at least where I live.
