Hi Everybody. Checkers wanted to know why he doesn't get to go to parties anymore, so I had to bring him back
.
. Google Docs, holds my computer hostage, and freezes it up. It was so difficult to keep current on the SS, that I just gave up. I figured if I couldn't show his numbers, why make a condo at all.
Pat offered to help, when I have problems. Thanks Pat.

Back in May, Checkers was keeping mostly in blue and often in green. I was satisfied with that. Then there was a week, that I couldn't be home all day to monitor, and he was dipping into greens, I did not give shots for a few days out of fear of hypo while I wasn't home.
Then he started climbing into the high 100's,
I went back to .5, then .75, for 2 weeks. Thought the shed needed replenished.
He still stayed in high 100's during day, and 200's for preshots.

I decided to start from scratch, at 1unit. at the first of June.
. Since he was doing better on .5 to .75, I'm wondering if one unit is too much and his liver is resenting it.
I haven't asked for help/advice, because I haven't kept his Google SS current.
I've been keeping an Excel SS, but can't share it.

He's been on skinny 1u., since June 1.
I got new insulin in mid-June. That wasn't the problem
I know this is asking a lot, but could I get some dosing advice, please?

Hi Barb! :mrgreen: Well. your SS is up to date until 5/23 and I can access it just fine.
Have you tried recently to access the Google Docs? I know that they now have a new version so maybe it will work now.

I am SO glad to see you are back and know that everyone will be happy to help.....
BUT, you know as well as I that the dosing experts can't really say anything if they can't see the hours and BG numbers recently...from5/23 to today.
You can PM me your phone number if you want and maybe we can figure something out.

Meanwhile, it's mid July and I am wondering if it's time for a new vial...are you using Lantus?
What is the dose you are giving Checkers now exactly?
I hope we can figure something out for the SS. maybe someone will have some ideas...

Hi Barb & Checkers, I was wondering what happened to you. Glad to see that all is OK and that the problem is with Google Docs. Sorry that I can't help you with the dosing question, but maybe the revised Google Docs will work better on your machine. Have you tried installing a newer version of your Web browser? Maybe the problem is there. Maybe you should install a different browser. Some of them work better than others. Try Firefox or Opera, both of which display Google Docs well. Check with your Internet provider to see what they recommend.
Anyway, welcome back. Stu is happy to see his pal Checkers again. Stu is alone all day this week and many of his friends have been stopping over to cook, surf and just hang out. All kitties are invited.

I use Mozilla Firefox myself....download it and use it instead of Internet Explorer...
bet that would be better for you Barb! Good thinking Ella! :razz:
 
Ella and Pat, thank you for the kind welcome.
Actually, I've been thinking for a while, to download firefox. Trouble is, with dialup, downloading anything takes forever.
Maybe my son can put it on a cd for me. That is easier. Living in the sticks is nice, but we can't get any highspeed at all. Even sattelite loses power, when the weather is bad.

Pat, Check's numbers didn't get better, even when the vial was brand new.
I can't possibly update his SS, from May.
I'll just post the daily numbers for a while, and maybe someone will take pity on me, and advise from that. :smile:
 
Hey there,

I'm not sure what kind of set-up you have with your computer, but on a lot of systems you can print or save your documents, Excel spreadsheets, etc. to a .pdf file. If you could do that, you could attach it to a post or your signature (not sure about the signature, but I don't see why not) and your data would be available.
For example, when I go to print anything on my laptop, I have the option to print to Adobe PDF...

Just a thought.
