It's been a nice, straightforward, easy going day so far. After the kibble raid the other night, Trix has "the taste" ...she was fighting hard to get to Zen's kibble bowl this morning! Of course I don't want her to be successful with that, but at the same time, this is one of her old behaviors that I've only seen a time or two since the p-titis, which was diagnosed over 2 months ago now. So, we don't encourage kibble consumption, but we love seeing old behaviors!
Last night, when I was preparing her favorite snack in the laundry room, unbeknownst to me, she was waiting right outside the door! She wasn't super thrilled to find out it was Fancy Feast and not a bowl of kibbles, but this is another oldie-but-goodie as far as returning behaviors go. Maybe the kibble raid the other night sparked her memory??? We'll see....it's nice to see some new kitten steps again!
Petey had a teeny early morning hairball...ugh. He's eaten today, but not as much as I would like, and hopefully he just needs to either recover from the teeny hairball, or finish processing another one. I hate hairballs! Petey doesn't shed much, but he does some "anxiety" fur picking sometimes, so it's really hard to prevent him from consuming hair. He doesn't pick himself bald, but he'll tend to pick while I'm prepping meals. His littermate, Noah, does the same thing. Gosh, I have cats with all the biggest quirks possible!
Frankie wharfed a gigantic hairball last night, too, and I literally have NEVER seen her toss a hairball. Hairball season seems to be very serious this year!
DH and I are enjoying getting stuff done around the house but being able to do so at a leisurely pace. We have LOTS of projects that are almost-but-not-quite finished, and we've been able to tie off some of those loose ends, which is a nice feeling. I don't know how it already got to be Wednesday, though!
Have a great day, LL!
