Had a hit of a hectic morning and haven’t given his cab yet; I’ll admit I’m a little nervous about when exactly in the day to give it, and also that we are on “vacation” next week so while we don’t have any plans, we may take a day trip here or there so I’m a little nervous about not being able to monitor him if we do, given his low blues and greens (we haven’t taught anyone to test yet and our potential pet sitter is out of town). Thoughts?

I do have a nice bottle of Cabernet on hand though!

I'm curious what Wendy thinks, but you could always do a vacation dose. The benefit is you'll be home so if you guess too low of a dose and numbers start climbing you can raise it back up

He is doing really well. Hope you are testing today. That was a low AMPS. I've never heard of an insulin-like growth factor. Is 525 a good number or a bad number?
 
The IGF-1 number itself doesn't mean much. It's just above normal. I asked the IM researchers at Colorado State University if the IGF-1 meant anything, and they said they hadn't found anything yet.

And yes, a vacation dose is an excellent idea. Post "vacation dose needed" a couple days before you leave and we can help. You will want to be conservative with cabergoline (that other cab!) on board - Snuggie, not you. :p

hmm maybe I’ll just post that tomorrow then for a vacation dose. Any day trip we take will be kinda impromptu and it might be Monday if we hear back from a friend, although that would be close enough to home that i could come home earlier by myself… or, maybe I just wait til Tuesday to start the cab (altho then I won’t share a cab-iversary with FrostD … and that would make me sad.

I haven't seen cabergoline start taking effect any sooner than 10 days, in some case it took weeks. Seems to be a cumulative effect.

Ahh got it. Ok. He starts it today then! And I’ll post separately about a vaca dose - thank you!
