eating vines needed....
didn't shoot this morning because she's not eating....
she did eat in the night but hasn't really had much more than a nibble so far today.
I may have to go get a snow crab leg.
She did have the runs a few times last night.... did her pooing cry... got up to check on her quickly and she had already exited the room but found liquipoo on another bath rug.... and in box....
I dip the box immediately in case she needs to go back in.

diamondback drugs will let me return the gengraf as I haven't even opened the box it was mailed in.
I'm about to call the vet and discuss meds.

I may start putting some clay in capsules and pill her. If I put anything in her food, she won't eat it.

Sorry to hear about the lack of appetite. That is always the worst. I hope she decides to start eating for you this afternoon and evening.
 
Shadow, sweetie, eat your food!!!! I know you are holding out for crab, but Mama doesn't have that on hand and you need to eat. Please?

I hope you and the vet can come up with some better solutions.

just finally got called back from the vet.
she is impressed with my juggling act.

says let's try it so we are going to switch her off the gengraf and prednisolone and go back to budesonide
and prednisolone. She was taking budesonide every other day before we re-started the insulin. (they were trying cyclosporin since it doesn't increase bg, but the budesonide did)
But it doesn't matter now .... fd around whatever is wrong.
I am filling capsules with clay to get that in her ( capsules are my least favorite to give her ) at least once a day.....
that usually takes a week to show up.

and I got a crab leg....or two.... or three....
and she'll get some tonight.... and I'll save one for tomorrow so my ds can give her one tomorrow morning as we will be in ABQ most of the day. it's hair day and lunch with dd plus some errands.

If she doesn't eat the crab leg later tonight....
I will be standing on my head in the corner of the room. :eek::nailbiting::rolleyes:
 
she came running for the crab.... so she got some and must have been happy with her lot ....
she went to one of her napping spots.
I should go test her and shoot if I can.

i'm starting to feel like this is confirming cancer...... more and more....
cancer eats sugar.

that or her pancreas just never stopped doing it's job , it's just the steroids that send her up.

Could be the steroids. Look what they're doing to Harvey. No sugar in his urine, but he hit the 300s the other day. Wretched Pred.

I knew she was holding out for crab.

Have you tried the Wellness flavor Salmon, Shrimp and Crab? Maybe she'd like that. Minka loves it.
 
((((Rhiannon)))) That is the thought that is always in the back of my mind as well, lymphoma. But the thing is, we can't waste time worrying until it is a proven fact;all can do is deal with the here and now...but I know just how you feel and it sucks just the same.

With Shadow, she is still cuddly and loving isn't she? Then the trick is, she needs to eat- whatever and however you get her to eat and to get her meds in, that's all that counts. Crab isn't high calorie enough, I'd break out the gravy tonight- it looks like her pancreas works, it's just the pred bringing he up. Sending tons and tons of appy vines and prayers.
 
i think she may have sampled every food out there except for the ones over 20% by now.....
gonna give her another clay pill and cypro crumb.... put out several options for the night.... and skip tomorrow unless she's jumps up high..... gonna be gone early and most of the day.....

she's really not so cuddly anymore but I'd say that's because it's summer. She does want her scritches....
 
No, but she gets up in your lap and your bed and wants attention. And yeah, who wants to wear a fur coat in this heat!! :smuggrin: Good idea to skip tomorrow if you are gone- have a good day tomorrow and Please Shadow eat your fuds!!
 
Come on, Shadow...eat for your mamabean...granted, to see your mamabean standing on her head in the corner of the room might be kind of fun! :p Sending lots and lots of feel-better vines and even more eat-your-duds vines! :bighug: to you, Rhiannon.
