Hi Everyone,
Another bounce, and an ouchie shot (bent the needle), but I think it got in. Poor Rusty is hot. He's in his basket, in front of the fan. We had thunderstorms last night that left it even more humid than before. I must be crazy, but I'm going on a bike ride with our group today and have to drive 65 miles to get to the start. Picnic after the ride. Edward and Rusty are staying home, chillaxin'.

Wishing all a good day. Yes, I have Gatorade and lots of water in my Camelbak.

ouch on the shot, the needles and that amps. Come on down Rusty. You surf well today. I bet Rusty is hot. It has to be tough on these kitties that have all that fur. We were warm here too yesterday - 90 (hot for us) and poor Lola could not get cool either. I found her once on a book case top, spread eagle in front of the opened window.... where was that breeze.... :lol: poor girl!

oh wow, awesome on your ride! Try and stay cool. It does sound like fun though. a long drive, but worth it I believe. A picninc sounds great. Enjoy the time. Good job on the Gatorade and the water.

Sorry about the ouchie shot. I hate those. I hope Rusty stays cool today. Enjoy your bike ride and stay hydrated.

Hi again,
Well, the ouchie shot was a fur shot, too! (I smelled a faint trace of Lev. this evening, when I got home). So today we have the bounce followed by the fur shot, followed by the high number. But tonight's shot got in, so I hope Rusty comes down over the course of the next day or so.

It was hot, but the ride was on a woods road and there was a lot of shade. It was a really good ride with lots of hills, but they were doable. The picnic lunch was great. I didn't get home until shortly before PMPS. The boys had a good day. Rusty ate all his fuds and slept in front of the fans with his feet in the air (I learned today that bears sleep on their backs with their feet in the air).

Bummer on the fur shot! :twisted: I know those all too well. :roll: Rusty will recover soon enough. Cute image of him sleeping in front of the fans with his feet in the air. Neko sometimes lies in front of the bottom of the fridge with her feet up cause there's a breeze down there too.

Sounds like a good ride - it's so much cooler in the shade of the woods.

@Rusty - say hello to all my buddies on the pink floor, that's one of my favorite places. ~Neko

Too bad about the ouchie shot and fur shot, but we all know Rusty will be back in the lagoon in no time! I never minded riding on a warm day....the breeze is so cooling. Of course when you stop, that's a different story, but it usually doesn't take TOO long to cool down. Have a great evening, Ella!

Ella, I feel your pain with the fur shots- I hate when that happens!!! Hopefully, Rusty will clear this very quickly! You must be in some kind of great shape taking a ride on such a hot humid day!! :smile:
