Ripley is doing great today.
I'm glad to see that our heat wave is not affecting her appy.

Supposed 108 again today (OMG!), and it did not cool down last night. I found Ripples sleeping on the kitchen floor; the linoleum must've felt cooler than her blankie on her rocker. Poor furry girl. (This weekend is going down to a cool 97 :shock: .)

wow on the temps! I can't imagine that hot. We fry when it hits 80. :shock: :lol: it's nice to see that the heat doesn't affect Ripley much, short of the need to sleep on cool linoleum. Smart kitty.

Morning Josie, oh yikes, that is hot! I won't complain about our 85 degrees! Keep cool today. Ripley must have been hot to give up her little rocker. Have a nice day, Josie and extra scritches to Ripley.

It really sounds like the heat in your area is miserable. There have been stories on the news advising people to not walk their dogs on the pavement since their paw pads will burn. It was actually in the 50s here overnight and it's chilly today

Hi Julie. Sounds like Ripley has a good sense of reasoning...selecting the cool linoleum over a blanket :lol:

Thanks for the visits, all !
Our two A/C wall units are blasting, and barely able to keep up with the heat.
(It's cool within a 5-foot-radius of the A/Cs :roll: .)

Ripley is doing well tonight.
Her rocker is in perfect blast-zone of the cool air. She's currently preening, having ate a full meal.

I just spent some time prepping her meals through Sunday ~ I'm leaving for a little trip on Thursday, and want to make sure everything is ready for DH.
I usually make about 3-days' worth of meals at a time, but made a little more tonight so he won't have to worry about it.
I mix 1.25oz Cowboy Cookout with 1.25oz Wellness Turkey, put it into a small container, put a layer of saran wrap on the food (try to 'vacuum-seal' it as much as possible), then put the lid on the container. Easy-peasy.
