Today I am in a better headspace after getting some sleep, and finding it easier to cope with the fact she only ate half her breakfast then went for a nap. Gave it back to her when she woke an hour later, and she ate half of that and they're both napping again.

Also not thrilled about the boarding at the vet situation but I think I'm resigned this will be the least stress right now. I have until Tuesday to cancel that. It is good they have people around all day long at least. Price is not so good. I do need to find someone reliable who will be able to come in and test and stay overnight, in the hopes I ever go away for more than 2 nights. Someone that can be my go-to sitter so I don't have to go on the search every time!

Curious what Madam Minnie's numbers have in store for us today. I never really had an expectation she would go into remission but would be happy with a relatively stable dose. I was comfortably happy with yesterday's numbers.

Yay for sleep:woot:!
Yesterday's numbers were great: looks like she had those nice, FLAT Lantus cycles that we all hope our kitties will do. More of those for your mama, please Minnie:cat:. And also, eat your food.

Good luck with your search for a pet sitter. I hope you find a great one for Minnie.

Oh Minnie Minnie Minnie.

I have been less helicopter about the food today, waited for her to ask for food. She's ignored it a few times, but came back later. Put some down when I got the 53 reading and she took her own sweet time (15 minutes and a wander around everywhere except near the food bowl) but just came back and is finishing it. I figured I'd make the food available if she was hungry but not force it on her, though I was curious if she'd drop below 50 again.

Is the depot still in play here?

Unfortunately I had a math issue with shot times...tonight's was 40minutes earlier than last night, hopefully not too great a difference at these BGs - I do NOT want this early dose acting like an increase, I want to sleep again tonight!

She is eating but I am not chasing her around as manically as previously, haven't felt the need for ondansetron and she is being less picky. She and Sam each had a darcine at 1h preshot! They were hungry but I didn't want to food mess with her preshot numbers too much, so I gave them one each since they're 0 carbs. She LOVED it! Sam, not so much...he left a giant soggy sardine spine on the floor, maybe that put him off. That kept her occupied til shot time, I am trying to finish all the open cans in the fridge from the last 2 days of refusing everything. She ate about half, but good point about not wanting to reduce again - she can have some of the AD since that's a bit higher carb.

Seriously, I think you have made a lot of progress with pilling. But as always with cats, it feels like two steps forward and one step back! Are you up for the next race?

ha, just realized we are chatting on yesterday's condo. Hmm about the race, not much running has been going on but a few massages and sports chiro appointment to deal with my extremely tight calves causing achilles/heel troubles. Time to do my exercises. This one is a relay, 24hours...I have 3 separate legs to run and fortunately I have the shortest total distance. So, relying on mental fortitude again!!

How are you holding up, dearie? Hope you have some peach ice cream treats planned for the weekend. :bighug:
