I couldn't sleep last night so slept today, woke up an hour late for her +9 snack and she had vomited mucus, not unusual if she goes more than 3 hours without food. Then I found a mucus poop in the lb.
I don't know what is happening, praying she is not going into one of her big sick/pain episodes.

I want to give her subq fluids, but on her last blood work her Creatine Kinase was high, that can indicate a heart issue. I have not had the money to get it retested. It can also be high due to a botched blood draw, they always let me stay with Eleanor for the blood draw, it was a different tech last time and she couldn't get any blood, had to repoke and reposition. So likely that is why the CK was high. However, over the years I was told by vets to give fluids to other cats, two it turned out had undiagnosed heart issues and the fluids sent them into CHF. So I am scared to death.

Anyway, I am very upset and needed to ramble on, so I did. Glad you guys are here, even if no one sees this, and even though there isn't a darn thing any one can do. It's my fault Eleanor's BG has come back up, so I should shut up and deal with it.

Sorry to hear that Eleanor had a vomit. :bighug: I hope she comes down for you tonight. It could be NDW, the high before the low, or just being a cat.

IIs Eleanor dehydrated? I hear you on being careful with fluids. Neko had a clean echocardiogram last fall, so when her creatinine rose on a recent blood work, the vet had me start fluids Big mistake, her heart had developed issues since last fall. Neko's creatine kinase was higher, but still in normal range, so it wasn't a red flag. Fortunately her heart has improved since then but it sure was scarey.

She does not appear to be dehydrated, but if this goes into what is suspected to be one of her pancreatitis flare ups, then she needs fluids. Right now though, I know subq fluid would help bring her bg down. Plus I would feel like I'm doing something to help her :)
That's horrible that you gave fluids not knowing Neko had developed heart issues. This is something that concerns me everytime I give Eleanor fluids, but now with the high CK, I'm too scared.

She seems to throw a pink PMPS from time to time so hopefully it's a high before a low as Wendy mentioned. Sorry about the CK being high. Doodles CK was 1366 in February when we lost regulation and he became the mystery cat. The vet insisted it was just from the blood draw and that cats are just hard to regulate  He was hiding under the bed a lot and not eating well from that time until the HCM/CHF dx in March. Sending lots of vines and prayers for Eleanor and many :bighug::bighug: to you.
