I made an experiment. I waited 2 days in-between Cerenea doses. As you can see, her values rose significantly on 7/18, the 2nd day without cerenea. I gave her the cerenea around PMPS last night, and her BG is much lower at AMPS. It's not a perfect experiment by any means, but it does seem to show that TiTi needs the cerenea as a constant.

My civvie, Rory is , I think, dying, but he still has some Quality of life, so we soldier on.

Wow, I took Jones off Cerenia on July 3rd and along with the Prednisolone increase on 7/1. I have been fighting higher numbers ever since. I have been giving it now and again as he seems not right. Loafing more, hungry but not really eating, eating more of the freeze dried treats and bone broth. And it looks like I get blues on the days he was on it - I never connected the two elements.

Thank you.

PS: I am sorry about your civvie. :bighug:

I hope it helps you, but this was very specific to my TiTi who is dealing with bouts of pancreatitis, which cerenea helps. However, it's certainly worth a try, so good luck to you.

And thanks for mentioning my civvie.

bouts of pancreatitis
We tend to focus on the IBD for Jones but this all started with severe pancreatitis! It was like a 3 month ordeal with testing, losing weight, vomiting, diarrhea, B12 in the dumper.....

He was on Cerenia from day 1 so the new IM thought we should see if we could drop it. I am thinking maybe not, which is OK, as the IM seems to be able to say "bad idea let us stop that and try something else".

I'm glad the Cerenia seems to be helping TiTi. I'm so sorry about Rory. I know it's not easy. I learned with my civvie that had stomach cancer to just make the most of each moment and try not to think about the future. We never know how long we have with them. Sending prayers. :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

Thank you. Yes, he's still enjoying some of his life, but it's a tough call. One day at a time.
