Yesterday's slow drift up

No green for 6 cycles, da bean caught up on much needed sleep, so Neko got her dosecrease back to where she was before the weekend.

All's fine on the home front and it looks like sun is finally making an appearance. Last night both kitties were out in the solarium when the rain picked up tempo ( pending T-storm? ), the cat flap into the house rocketed open. Neko's better with noise, but still doesn't like storms.

Vines to all in need today.

Glad you are caught up on some rest. Think I missed the final results of your races though :( Sorry about the spooky storms..how's Theo getting around? It's our monsoon season and we're impatiently waiting for some rain! Doodles actually likes rain storms and lightening as long as the thunder doesn't rock the house.

Nice start to working the increase Neko...lets see you back in the lagoon soon sweet girl :D:D

the link to today's will be "Yesterday's slow drift down". ;)
So far so good. Neko spend the last hour before dinner outside in the back yard with me. I wouldn't exactly say she was helping. :p But she did walk around the yard some and hung around where I was weeding. Been a while since she's explored the yard.
how's Theo getting around?
Still limping a bit on the bum leg. He's walking on his foot, but not straightening out the hind as much as his good leg. I'm debating taking him into vetty for acupuncture. He's not a great traveller for vetty visit so I may wait until I discuss it with her when I next take Neko in. It's not stopping him from doing anything of course.

Nekos a trooper.... maybe the acpuntaturist would come to you?
Outdoor time is always good :)

maybe the acpuntaturist would come to you?
There is a traveling acupuncturist in town, that costs a lot more and isn't Theo's regular vet so doesn't know his history. And though he's less complicated than Neko, he still has some issues.

Some vets are starting to prescribe gabapentin for vet visit anxiety. I also give it to Murphy when we regularly make a 2 hr car trip - it's safe and quite effective

Neko tried gabapentin for her arthritis - it just made her sleepy and distant, so I stopped it. For her, I use Rescue Remedy before the visit and it works to keep her calm. She's done all day car trips and car/plane/train/bus/car trips with me and is pretty mellow. And the big thing for her at the clinic is a towel over the carrier. Seeing dogs really stresses her. I've just started Rescue Rememdy with Theo, so still gathering data on how well that works for him. And for both, I spray the inside of the carrier with Feliway.

Well, look at Miss Neko go...down the numbers and threw the cat door! Good moves on both accounts little girl.

Couple dogs at work blew out their knees after the cruciate surgery. No additional surgery and both kept a bit of an awkward leg from then on, but they healed and could muster a good run when motivated. Sure hope acupuncture can help Theo if you decide to give it a a try.

I am reluctant to add another med to the roster at this point, especially if the Rescue Remedy and Feliway are working. The line up of Neko's and Theo's pills on the counter is a little daunting.

Nice sliding down Neko. Love that she assisted you in your weeding ventures, even if she actually didn't pull any weeds herself, it's always nice to have company. :cat:

Hope Theo's leg will get more comfortable for him.:bighug:
