Another great day for Max shaping up there..:cat:. Sorry about your moms mishap yesterday Elise. Ive seen the same thing happen at my work at the ALF. Hope she is feeling better and no lasting issues with it. You are a good momma bean and daughter..accidents happen all the time so be easy on yourself:bighug:
 
Anyone feeding Pure Vira cat food? The turkey is 1.21 phosphorus and 6% carbs. Chicken is 1.04 phosphorus and 4% carbs. Sold on line.

I actually see it sold near me at pet stores and Gelson's Market.
 
Sorry to hear that yesterday was so rotten. I agree that you are a great mamabean and daughter. Max looks good, and I hope he likes that food. I haven't heard of that brand but am looking them up.
 
I now have a list of foods to try. Once I finish accumulating it I want to see if any store carries them all. That last one doesn't show up on tge list the store has so I need to see if they really carry it. They don't have any of the other foods on my new list.
 
Hi Elise! I'm sorry to hear about Max's new diagnosis. I hope all your food research pays off and you're able to keep him happy and stable. I wonder if you can plan to get most of your regular supplies online and have a few stores where you know most are sold when you're in a pinch. I hope your mother's neck is feeling better today. Mistakes like that happen, but its hard to not feel terrible afterwards. I hope you're feeling better, too.
 
Thanks Patricia. I'm just going to get samples of the foods locally to see if he will eat them. Once I figure that part out where to buy will fall into place. He's still liking Mauri Kangaroo. They just need to get more cans analyzed to get an average phosphorus percentage. The two so far are 1.24 and .86. Batches will vary which is why I hope they send more to the lab.

I hope Noodle is doing well.
 
Very nice day for Max, Elise!! His numbers are looking so much better lately so please take some joy in that! Our kitties are all fragile in some ways, so we need to take our small victories where we get them and do the best we can with the rest

Sorry to hear about your mom, but everyone is right...accidents happen and we can't protect them from everything. My mom fell on Friday and was just bruised and sore too, so let's both be extremely thankful that's all that happened. Sure would be nice if we could figure out a way to bubble-wrap them so they'd never get hurt

Keep up the nice numbers, Max and give your loving mamabean something to smile about! :D
 
I like the bubble wrap idea.

Darn if he didn't drop more while I was looking for massage oil to bring. I gave him karo with food. No warning. He was just sleeping. :banghead:
 
I fed again and added a couple drops of karo because I need to leave soon. He usually won't drop after this especially with food and karo. He ate.
 
Yikes. What is going on with my boy? Why does it scare me that he is so low? He was right where I left him on my bed now. He didn't touch his dish. I gave him some Gerbers to make sure he would eat and when I brought it to him he was eating the FD chicken with a little roo I had left out.
 
Actually it's the second time under 50. It's so strange because he has been so flat and not too low until today. I expected a bounce but maybe it will hit tomorrow.

Gosh I hope not. I'm beat from the stress of yesterday and the past week. Maybe I should have given a BCS tonight. Too late now.

{{{Elise}}} I missed the part about your DM last night. I'm so sorry that happened, but I'm glad she's doing okay. Life just isn't fair. The harder we try sometimes, the more difficulties we encounter.

I have seen that food in a store, I think (at this point all the little ones are blending together in my brain, so it'll take me a while to figure out which one). I LOVE all the info on their website. Why can't they all do that???? I may just have to give it a try. I hope Max likes it!
