I know. I'm so happy for him and impressed with how he's handling it all. I think he's doing a better job than me!

This going to see my family thing is killing me with indecision. I'm so worried if I do it it will totally derail his progress. Not even sure it's a possibility now since I gave him his regular dose of insulin, but found a way to get there late enough Wednesday that I could monitor and not go if there is an issue. Sometimes I sure wish I had a car and could drive.

He went from 175 at AMPS to 79 at +2.
Is he still going down too fast?

I've been trying to get his +3 for awhile, I had a problem with the meter and then a problem with getting enough blood. I have him a spoonful of MC carb food both after the last test and now. I can't test him again for a little bit because he is growling about it. He will let me do it again if I give him a bit of a break.

Yes @Acadaca that drop at +2 was pretty fast. I'm glad you gave some of the food at that time. (Pearl used to drop sharply around +2 also, so I always tested at that time and made sure to give some food to slow it down). Right now at +4 FCC seems ok, but I would get a +5 if it was me to make sure he is continuing to slow down or is flattening out. He seems to NADIR around this time from what I am seeing on your ss.

Thanks. It has become an obvious trend. I just tested him and he was 76 at +5. This test was pretty painless so I am going to try again at +6.
 
Will get a +2. Not sure if his sheet is reliable enough for me to go to sleep after that. Someone needs to tell FCC that when it hits midnight I turn into a pumpkin.
 
He's higher than he has been. I didn't mean for him to let me go to bed by raising his numbers. The poor guy has been the victim of poor poking and a few failed test strips today. It seems safe to call it a night?
