Eleanor is okay diabetes wise. I am so sorry I have not been able to post or update the SS.
I did read the comments on my last post and was so overwhelmed with the kindness and support, I couldn't even reply. I didn't know what to say.
A downward spiral has continued since the fire, it's just one thing after another and I am to a point where I do not know what to do. For the first time in my life I'm really scared about the situation.
My health is just terrible and I have a UTI that just is not clearing up.

Eleanor now appears to be developing an ear hematoma and I'm frantic. I know from working with strays and ferals those things are painful. I don't know what to do, I have no money to take her to the vet. I don't want her to have this pain, the poor cat. Plus it will send her bg skyhigh. It's one more thing I feel so alone and helpless with. I think it started when she was playing with Tulip, they get so rough and Eleanor jumped away and smacked her head (ear) into the wall really hard.

Anyway, sorry to appear here all full of drama.
I think of all of you every day. Hopefully I can get back on regularly, soon.

Hello Julie,

my cat has small inner hematoma in one of her overpoked ears. There is homeopathic remedy for that called Ledum (here is general info) which is particularly good to treat hematomas. It is cheap, easy to use and I got it from HERE Vitacost.com.

What I do is crash and dissolve 2 pellets in the 60 ml purified water and apply 2-3 drops on the ear several times a day. I keep this solution by our testing station in small pill bottle - easy reach/use every time. This method was recommended by @Marje and Gracie in one of the old condos which I cannot locate @the moment.

I am tagging Marje here so she can give you better dosing/application info, I might be mistaken about details. As I said I cannot locate that old condo where this remedy was discussed. Marje isn't as often online but I am sure when she is she 'll help.

I am not saying not to use anything stronger but that's what I know helped kitties in the past - and sharing. I hope things get back to normal soon for you guys.

Thank you for this info. I have a vial of Ledum pellets, but I will get new. All the meds got so hot in the fire I was advised not to use them, I suppose my homeopathics are fried too!

Julie, I am just seeing your post. So sorry you are still struggling. Will keep you and your fur babies in my prayers. :bighug::cat:

Any thing we can do?

I always used Ledum on Gracie's ears but she never had a hematoma. Ledum is good for any kind of puncture wound like pokes. Because the essence of the homeopathic is in each little pill, you only need to use one and I would also buy the 30C. I would just put one in a small bottle with a dropper and then add filtered water. You might try 2-3 drops four times a day and see if it helps. Again, I've never used it for a hematoma so I'd trust @Tanya and Ducia if she has.

I hope it helps. They are very painful. Poor Eleanor. Many hugs and vines to you both.

Julie, I am so sorry things are so difficult for you right now. I hope and pray that the Ledum works on Eleanor's poor ear and that your health improves and your UTI clears up. Hugs and prayers!
