Hey all hope your are all doing fine on these hot summer days....

Well I finally got the car back from repairs... :-D

The new vacuum cleaner arrived with its pet hair attachments... :-D

And the basement flooded last night from the rain. That has never happened before...

so in this hot sultry summer weather we're washing, bleaching, and drying out ...or trying to dry out with humidity above 70%.

Re: 7/19 Atlas PMPS 99

Yes...Attie is doing well in all this crazy chaos....

A bizzy bean, kitten in the backyard, new vacuums to get used too, and basement issues.

We had 3 inches of rain in 45 minutes last night...Oy Vey!!!! I didn't realize the basement even flooded until this afternoon. The neighbor had rugs etc. all outside laying in the hot, hot sun...I asked about it and they said the basement flooded.

I went and checked mine...sure enough batman...ugh! Well, all of us had flooding me, Lee, Dave, Brenda, the Victors....so I spent the late afternoon trying to launder up what had been on the floor and tomorrow I'll try and get some bleach mopping up done. I had blankets and comforters to go for laundry on the floor and they were soaked...

Ventilation will be key in this heat and humidity...

But the new fancy shamsy sharkie vacuum works real good on pet hair! ;-)

And Attie is maintaining nicely.....paws crossed he keeps his cool. cat_pet_icon

Glad you got your car back! Yuck on the basement. I have forgotten what rain was like. I can't believe your basement flooded. That is crazy! Keep cool and dry! Great numbers for Atlas!

Re: 7/19 Atlas PMPS 99

The storm hit Berea and created some of the highest water levels seen in years.

Service Director R. James Brown said the flash flood lifted picnic tables at the Coe Lake’s pavilion.

“The tables are floating in Coe Lake. The entire Coe Lake nature trail on the American Legion Post side is under water,” he said. “In the 11 years I have been here, I have never seen flooding on the nature trail. I am looking for a massive clean up in that area when we can get to it.”

The rain also flooded Coe Lake’s southwestern shore where a memorial area is now under construction — and water.

Brown said some roads that were partly under water early Tuesday morning included Lindbergh Blvd., Crossbrook between Race and West streets, Front and Bagley roads, Woodmere, Fair and others. Brown said waves were splashing on Cleveland Metroparks’ Valley Parkway that is west of the city’s water plant.

“Our phones are ringing nonstop right now,” Brown said mid Tuesday morning. “I heard we registered between 3.4- to 5-inches of rain in 1½ hours. I have never seen flooding in my 11 years here like today.”
