WCR: All Ps in place. Shasta had a fairly lazy day today. More afternoon showers which makes us both super sleepy. I'm now having a hard time getting up with my alarm...not the first alarm at AMPS, but my btb alarm. And it doesn't help that she's snuggled up next to me at the time!!
Sorry I've been delinquent about getting on the board to check condos. I've been spending some time out in the pasture and getting more things around my house done...and yes, there are a million more things I want to get done before school starts back. :YMSIGH:
Marje, my vet wanted me to give her 100mL sub-q fluids (twice a week) because he was worried about her overall hydration. Back in June, she was vomiting off and on and not eating well and not very consistent on pooping...so he suggested sub-q fluids. He said that I could bring her in to the vet's office twice a week (HA!) or attempt giving them myself. So, I watched Gussie's video a few times and donned my big girl pants and we've been mostly successful so far...first time doesn't count, right?!?!
Unfortunately, right when my vet gave me all the supplies and "showed" me how to give fluids, we were headed up to NW Florida to visit family, so I didn't try to give fluids in a new environment. When we got back home, we only had a few days before my family drove down to stay with us for theme park fun...so I got in a fluids session before they came into town and now we should be on track for twice a week. She only vomited the day my family left our house (I think she was just saying "GOOD RIDDANCE!")  Otherwise, she seems to be doing ok with them. Hope you and the family are doing well. Scritches to Gracie & Tobey.
Carla & Liz, thanks for checking in on us. I miss hearing about Furball, Zener & Tillie! Hope all the furry ones are good, as well as the families.
Sending healthy vines to all our sugar kitties and their hoomins! Blessings!
