Good Morning World! Welcome to our CELEBRATING Home! KT's doing wonderful and Jupiter's surgery is DONE too! Yesterday

Not bad for 24 hours without insulin huh! There's even food on board! He seems to be doing well this morning, not wanting to eat much but that's OK, he did eat 'enough'. I pureed some FF beef pate, he ate about half of that. I then pureed some Friskies Tuna, he ate about 3 tbsp's of that. He's laying around but I expect that...poor baby. He yawned a few minutes ago, got a look inside without making him open his mouth - looked pink and good. They kept him in an oxygen rich therapy tent for about 3 hours after the surgery while he woke up. This should help him heal even faster. UNfortunately, he didn't get a shot this morning either...complete fur shot. Thought I had needle in but didn't want to make him move so was doing it upside down and sideways. When I pulled it back, I realized I don't think the needle was even in at all, just hair. I feel like a HUGE KLUTZ!

Mr. Dakota is in WONDERFUL form this morning! He's spent almost an hour now running up and down the hall, slapping the trim, picking at the loose trim piece he found, slapping the mouse everywhere, even doing sideways runs with Leo. As I started giving him his shot last night, he jumped (Mama's SO sorry baby...) the syringe came out, I dumped probably the whole dose right on his fur. I think he also finished his last night's food this morning shortly before I tested. He's such a silly sweet boy - we are truly SO blessed to have him here. I don't know how ANYONE could have let this sweet boy go....

THANK YOU MARJE/GRACIE, MIKE/TOBEY/GUS/TEDDIBEAR! THANK YOU JENNIFER/CAIN!!! I now have THREE NEW PENS of insulin!!!! We were down to the last of the last vial and the dregs of the last good date pen..were about to start using an expired pen. THEN I get a message out of the blue...

"Need insulin?...someone has some.."
"No, I can't right now, we're saving for KT's dental cost...",
"But do you NEED insulin?"
"Yes but I didn't want to tell anyone...I can still try this last expired pen".
"NO YOU'RE NOT!"
"Yes I am..."

Yesterday I picked up THREE NEW PENS from Jennifer/Cain at the post office.......... :o :-D :-D dancing_cat party_cat party_cat

BIG HUGS to all that visit today! We're having a HUGE DANCE PARTY here today - I just hope Da Sugarboyz join in!!!!
 
:-D :-D :-D :-D :-D What a good news condo! KT seems to be taking the loss of his toofies in stride. I'm sure Doc will come right back down too, especially w/ that new insulin! LL is filled w/ fairy godmothers!
 


Hey KT - I sent the detective - Catpin Four Paws to your vets office to look for your stolen teefies! He searched high and low and spent hours interrogating that bean in the white coat - Four Paws style! He got the bean good and skerred, but sadly couldn't find your stolen teefies anywhere!

They were too quick and got rid of all the evidence. They even claimed that they didn't do nothing bad and were proud of it too! Catpin Four Paws growled and snarled and threatened to bite and the vet saw his teefies and asked if he would like them to shine! That skerred Catpin Four Paws and he hightailed it out of there!

I did my best. I sorry, but your teefies are gone and we won't ever find them again.

THANK YOU ALL for the visits!!! We really enjoy them!!

KT's mostly laid around today - ate fairly decent, not good but knowing how he's feeling, I'm satisfied.

Dakota has been such a goof today...running, slapping things around, zipping up and down the hall.

Maui, TANK U fur all dat wurk! I bet dey frew dem away! SHUDDER! Dat's OK, I'm doin' 'k wifout dem an I feel bedder!!

You are very welcome, Lyresa, but the true angel is Jennifer because she was very generous to sell two pens to me at a remarkable price and she donated the third AND split the cost of the overnight to you (she actually paid a little more than half) so the thanks go to her. Jennifer, YOU ROCK!

I'm just glad the box made it there okay! First time shipping an overnight with cold packs.

Good wishes for healing well for KT from the dental. That was a lot of teeth removed. Poor boy.

And yay for playing Dakota! I'm trying to convince Cain to do the same. He'll bat at a ribbon for a bit but getting him up and moving for long is not as easy. Unless I'm opening a can of food or he thinks I'm on the way over to food. ohmygod_smile I make him follow me around a bit until I feed him in that situation... well until he decides that's enough and lays down in front of his bowl. :lol: The B12 is helping looks like. Just needs some weeks to kick in I hope.
