Hi LL,

Well, we made if through another day of green. Daphne is in pain, I think, right now. We are expecting bad storms and she is very afraid of the thunder, so I'm not sure if her posture and behavior is fear or pain. With rain coming it can be that her arthritis is bad today, or it could be a little of each. I have her bup, but no one to help me administer, she won't let me shoot anything in her mouth without someone keeping her still. So my son will be home 5:30 and maybe then we can give her a little relief.


Sending healing vines to all the kitties and beans who need them today.

Woohoo on :mrgreen: X 11! I hope Daphne is feeling better with the bupe. Poor thing, being scared of those storms is no fun.

Thanks Ann and Liz! Daphne went to sleep right after I wrote the last post, so I thought she was ok, and so I didn't give her the bup., and the storms have held off so far. So all is well in Daphne land. That 72 also confirms that she must not be in too much pain.

I will be starting Adequan right after this trial. I actually just received it today by FedEx and I had a cooler with ice for them to put it in on my porch, and when I went to get it, when I woke up, the cooler was cool inside, but the box was hot! I'm pretty annoyed that these trucks aren't cooled, especially in this kind of heat. Its 100 here today… I may just send it back and tell them if they can't keep it cool, I don't even want it. I read an article once, it was about how most drugs should not be in heat, but the air/trucks, however its being shipped, are not cooled. I also get my medication from the mail, and I have no idea how its been handled.

Sorry, didn't mean to get OT, but its been something that I've been trying to get info. out there, and no one seems to care. I guess it would cost the drug companies more money if they had to cool all their shipments, like they don't already have enough. :roll:

That's so exciting that Daphne is so close to being OTJ! Happy Day 11! I'm glad she's feeling ok now. Maybe it was just fear from the thunder. Racci is scared of it too. In fact that's one of the times she does get loud calling me. :lol:

I always worry about meds coming in the mail also. It costs a fortune to get it freezer packed though. The last time I did that I was charged about $25 if I remember correctly! There are some things you just shouldn't order by mail in the summer. That's the only way around it. I always mean to order several months worth before it gets really hot and always forget until it's too late.

Woohoo, Day 11!!!

Hopefully the Adequan is OK. Maybe give the pharmacist a buzz about it?? I know last winter, when I ordered Mario's transdermal Tapazole from Fosters and Smith, they actually did pack in a warm package. It was weird...I'd never seen that before, but when I opened it up, it was actually noticably warm in there, so the meds wouldn't freeze. So maybe it was OK to ship the Adequan without ice packs. I'm just taking a stab here...

I hope Daphne is feeling better. I bet it was a combination of things...the storms never really hit, but it was pretty ominous for a while, and I bet that was affecting her mood and her joints. Mario was a bit wonky this evening, too, and he's pretty much the non-diabetic male version of Daphne...17, arthritic, and afraid of storms.

I hope you're feeling better, too! No worries about the feeder. I've got it at the store whenever you feel up to it...no rush!

Vetty gave me adequan for Moonie & it's in my kitchen cabinet, non refrigerator--I took it as she gave it to me...HAPPY 11TH DAY OF OTJ TRIAL!!! :thumbup :thumbup :thumbup :mrgreen:

Thanks guys for the visits and your good luck wishes. I can't type much, I am having a dizzy spell now, so its hard to type. Daphne is still feeling well, very relaxed tonight. Thankfully the storms missed us.

Does the adequan packet say the maximum heat it should be exposed to? That might give you some idea as to if it's still ok.
