+6 226 (small drop of blood, no error on meter) checked again large drop of blood 284 no idea which is correct.
I called Bayer they had me go through the meter and read codes back to them a few days ago; said it was functioning properly, they sent me a free bottle of control solution and new batteries for it. I've changed the batteries, haven't used control solution yet. I was surprised they sent out free and by FedEx overnight.
Henry is still taking Cipro, I have to try to get a urine sample by Thursday when he goes in for recheck after dental.
Still using old bottle of insulin, have a new one just am waiting to open it until after I find out if he still has UTI but may try it tomorrow, haven't decided yet. it seems its working from drop he got at +4 .

Not bad numbers for being on meds and maybe with a UTI. I'd say patience until he is feeling well again.

Meter companies are thrilled to help you out because they figure you will continue to need their products forever. They probably figure it is for you? Or did you mention your diabetic son, Henry?

 I had to tell them it was for my diabetic 11 year old, since after going through checking the meter codes out with me they wanted me to test myself and compare to previous readings.

Sorry to hear Henry hasn't been feeling well. He's one tough kitty. Sending good thoughts for tomorrow's re-check.
