It appears that Trix is now in the "settling in" phase of this reducie...I hope. We'll see...it'll be interesting to see if she follows her more recent trends when it comes to reductions, with her taking a few extra days to adjust and come back down to greens. That's what she did the last few times, but as we know, she can always change the rules if she chooses!

Zen's BW came back yesterday, and everything was normal. I'm not surprised...he's normal! It wasn't my regular vet who called with the results, and this one doesn't have the greatest bedside manner...she did manage to make me nervous by saying how unusual it is for a cat to have an ulcer on the tip of his tongue. It's possible he licked something, but I actually have a feeling he had a flare up of calici, which I know runs through my household. He didn't have strong URI symtpoms, but he does get URIs, and when DH and I were on staycation, his eyes were a bit extra goopy, and his nose was a bit extra dirty. It will remain a mystery, though...I just pray it isn't stomatitis (she didn't even mention this, but I already knew all about it, just from reading, etc), but I saw in his mouth when the vet was looking. He could use a dental at some point, but in general, his gums didn't look all that bad, and I think if it were stomatitis, his whole mouth would be a mess.

Hi Amy! Looks like Trixie is going to give you a good cycle, here's hoping! I know what you mean about taking a few days to settle into a new dose. Karre seems to have the same habit :smile:

Hi Amy, I think in no time she will settle into the dose and give those nice Trixie numbers. That's good news on Zen's b/w. You have a good feel for what's going on with Zen, and sending him vines for his mouth. It can scare you sometimes with their bedside manner, especially if it's not your usual Vet. I remember getting a call from my GA kitty's alternate Vet telling me he had kidney failure. It was early stages of chronic kidney disease, not kidney failure per se, but I didn't know the difference at the time. Have a nice day Amy.

Morning Amy - good luck with the new dose. Mannie is the same - it takes him some time to settle into a dose. A for sure exercise for me in patience... Greens for you today Miss Trixie?

I am glad that Zen's BW came back normal, and that Zen is normal! Well done Zen. I hear you on vets and there bedside manner. One of the ones in my vets office is the same way. She does make me nervous... much prefer my regular vet. well anyways - I glad that all is well with Zen, and hope the tongue ting clear up soon.

Haven't seen yellow since June. Hopefully we won't see much more of it tonight!

Hi Amy,

Thanks for visiting us with birthday wishes today! We hope Trixie is able to hold the reduction and show you some pretty blues and greens tonight. Many times Ella takes longer to show her true colours so we're hoping this is the case for Trixie too!

Amy, you can always call back and get your regular vet and ask a question or two just to be able to talk to him (or her, can't remember which), but it will give you an excuse to talk to him more about other stuff.

Have a great night, thanks so much for the visits. I didn't forget about the feeder, I may come in on Thurs., just want to make sure I'm germ free, don't want to spread cold germs. :roll:
