Maggie 7/16

Morning ~O) A nice blue start for Mags today. She had a high blue surf during the day and came down to a lower blue for the pmps! Mags slept next to me all night. Her appy seems a little off this am, so I gave 1/4 tablet Mirtz. The instructions say half a tablet, but she seems a little too unsteady on her feet/wobbly with the half, so we'll see how this works. No poo yesterday or last night, so poo vines we are always grateful. The Tramadol Transdermal gel does list constipation as a side effect, but the Vet who treated Mags last enema said it is the best one for Maggie's situation. I'll use it with caution and watch for signs.
I didn't do her half bath. I was able to remove some doo doo with a comb. I just didn't want to upset Mags, as she's been hanging in there so well past few days.

Elsa, can't wait for some Triuple Espressos. TWC says hot again, 80's here in my area. I know other parts of the country are really suffering with the heat.
Healing vines to all kitties and Beans needing the, today.

Re: 7/17 Maggie AMPS 170

Nice AMPS, and how sweet that she slept with you all night! Poo vines are on the way - as are appy vines (maybe she's holding out for the kibble ;-) ), and hopefully the Tramadol will do it's thing for her pain without adding to the poo issues.

We're in the midst of an excessive heat warning here...it's been in the upper 90s for over a week (it might even be longer...I can't remember when it started). Very crazy...we hit the 90s on occasion, but it very rarely lasts this long.

Have a great day, Ann!

Re: 7/17 Maggie AMPS 170

Morning Ann,

Sending formed poopy vines to Miss Maggie, along with good appy vines! Glad you were able to pick some off her butt, without a bath!

How about another blue surf Maggie?? With maybe a touch of green?

Hope Elsa's coffee arrives soon, and you have a wonderful day!

Re: 7/17 Maggie AMPS 170

Good morning, Ann, it's so sweet that Mags slept next to you last night.
Sending appy and poo vines, too.
I don't blame you for not wanting to upset her with a half-bath; your girl has been through a lot lately.

Stay cool today, and give Maggie scritches from us.
Enjoy your day!

Re: 7/17 Maggie AMPS 170

Good morning Ann! Nice blue start for Maggie and how nice of her to snuggle with you last night. I know that when Charlie had his Tramadol patch after his knee surgery, they told me that constipation was a side effect. I hope this isn't the case for Maggie. ((((Ann)))) Poo vines and good appy vines coming your way.

Re: 7/17 Maggie AMPS 170

Thanks Amy, Jane, Josie and Melissa for the visits and appy and poo vines. :-D They always work. Mags just became a little vocal and seemed to want food but then wouldn't eat. So I brought out the Purina N/F, and she ate a few kibble. Then I hand fed her some wet food. I think 1/4 tablet seems enough, as I didn't see that wobbly that I see with half a tablet.

Amy, hope the heat passes soon. I need to check on my Mom in PA today.

Josie, I thought so, too, with the half bath. It seemed too much for all she's been thru latey.

Jane, we can't wait for the big you know what soon with Cleo! :-D

Melissa, I hope so, too with Mags with no blocking. It sure did seem to make her comfortable. I used the least amount. She's eating a little. It's too bad the FF T&G isn't low phosphorus.

Re: 7/17 Maggie AMPS 170

Hi Ann,
How sweet to sleep with your Maggie all night. I wouldn't have given her bath either...she has been thru alot.
Sending poo vines to Maggie and you have a good day :YMHUG:

Re: 7/17 Maggie AMPS 170

Detective Poo, checking on the Mags this morning. Sending poo and appy vines. That's nice that you had a bed buddy last night. :-D :-D Stay cool!

Re: 7/17 Maggie AMPS 170

Morning Ann ~O) ~O) ~O)

What a nice start for Maggie. I so love the blues. It sounds like she had a great night last night too. YAY!

Good deal on the mirtz, and the quarter tablet. fwiw: Mannie's IM vet had me give him a 1/4 tab every other day, rather than 1/2 tab every three days. She seemed to feel that method wasn't as hard on their systems as the 1/2 tab. Maybe this method would work for Maggie too. Good luck with the appy today. I can so remember feeding Mannie off of the spoon. He seemed to like it that way. so we did. Eat up Mags! I have read too that kitten kibble will also get them to eat. I'm not too sure on the carb content though, might be a no no.

More poo vines for Maggie! Very nice on the bed sleep. It's great to wake up to a sleeping kitty. :-D

I'm glad that combing took care of the problem. Mannie went through that too. Sometimes combing was the best way, sometimes just a warm washcloth worked. I so hope the pain meds will help Maggie. Goodluck!

Have a great day today Ann. I will hope that it doesn't get too hot, and that you can get out for a walk.

Auntie Ann! I am almost there - see me???? - opens the door! ~~ Elsa, Lil BIT, kitteh barista

Re: 7/17 Maggie AMPS 170

Good Morning Ann
Nice blue start to Miss Maggie's day :-D
I've been thinking about what I've done, when Checks hiney needed cleaning. He doesn't like his back end to be touched either.
Before he started hanging out in cube, where I can't get at him, he slept on blanket, on couch, where I was able to place a cloth dampened with warm water, under his tail, up against his bum. It softened the dry poopy. Would Mags allow that?
He didn't wake up....or maybe it felt good.

I hope your mom's okay, Ann. As you know, it's awful in these here parts. I don't know what I'd do with my pets, if the power went out, from everybody using acs and fans....me included.

Re: 7/17 Maggie AMPS 170

MAGS! Oh u haz a bootiful number this morning! BLUE sapphire necklace for a bootiful girl! I iz sorre u haz poop problems....hope it gets better.

+4 69
I guess it's green kini time for Mags, quite a surprise, but she did have flat blues yesterday. She did eat a little more. I know if I brought out the FF T&G, it would go over well, maybe just a treat.
Thanks everyone for all the appy and poo vines and helpful info on the food and baths.

Lyresa, thank you so much for the vines and for visiting with all you have going on today with KT. We are sending positive vines and saying prayers for KT.

Barb, I think Mags would toleate a warm cloth on her bum. I will give that a try. That is terrible with the heat and humidity. I think it's coming our way next. Our summers aren't always nice and dry as in the past. The inland area here will reach 90. but it's a drier heat than yours.

Hi Michelle, very interesting with the 1/4 tablet every other day. I need to call the Vet today on another matter and will mention it. I think it's a "see how the cat reacts" thing with the Mirtz. I just tried the spoon feeding, and Mags seems to like it. She loves a drink of water via the syringe.
Thank you Elsa. Very, good coffee, excellent as always. Neighbors were up early waiting for you.

Thanks Detective Poo for the appy and poo vines. She makes a nice bed buddy.

Pam, thank you for the poo vines. It's a nice day here. As soon as see Mags is okay, I'll finish up some errands I didn't get to yesterday.

Nice surf for Maggie today. I hope the Mirtz helps her appy. Sending poo vines.

Oh yay, Mags was at the lagoon today

I hope you and Mags are okay, Ann. You usually do her pmps before I do. :YMHUG:

Hi Ann,
Maggie had a nice AM cycle today.
I hope she is feeling better.....
Sending appy and poop vines to Maggie.

Mags a little earlier had one lone fat prezzie, and with form. I'm not sure now whether to give her the Tramadol transdermal gel, as I happened to be watching, and it looked like she was straining a bit.

John, I think that new Poo Fairy did the trick. She came right away and may make a second stop, too.

Carla, thanks for the extra poo vines and for stopping by this evening.

Barby, you know me well. I got involved in some paperwork and was on the phone. Mags's appy is a little iffy, so I may end up syringe feeding tomorrow. She ate a little Cowboy Cookout and earlier when whe was dropping I let her have some FF T&G which was a hit!
My puter is loading really slow.

Mariko, thanks I just saw you above while I was typing. Mags is tired today. It's been a really hot day here which may be part of it. I juist turned the a/c up a notch.

Yay for prezzies. I wonder if the tramadol is maybe affecting her appy a bit? That could be why she's tired, too. Did you restart that binder, too? I remember last time she tried it, it seemed to affect her appy, too. Just tossing a couple ideas out there, although you've probably already thought of them!

Have a great evening over there!

Hi Amy, Yes, I was happy to see just one prezzie, and this time since the change of doses, her bm is nice form and no diarrhea like poo! I didn't give her any Tramadol today due to wondering if it might be constipating. She's been sleeping all day. The Renagel Binder is really difficult to crush, and it seems to bother Mags's stomach, so I have a call in to the Vet about it.
