Amps 86 Libre

Ivy had a nice Amps today after a bit of an active night. Woken up around 4 am with Libre alert. (That’s a good thing, even tho disruptive to my
sleep)

Fed her a tsp of 11% in hopes she would stay high enough to shoot at Amps this morning.

Yesterday am cycle was a bounce recovery from the prior night.
So we will see what’s up for today.

Cooking her food today for the next 10 days or so.
Been very hot and humid here. Wishing everyone cool temperatures today.

Now she needs to come back down.

I hope it cools off for you soon - today is the first day of a few cooler days, so hopefully it heads your way soon. I used to spend summers outside all the time and have no problems with the heat, but boy howdy is it not fun now.
I hope Ivy settles down for you.

I know what you mean. I was the same spending time outdoors too.

When my kids were very young, I actually worked at a day camp And ran the arts and crafts program.
Spent entire days all week long for eight weeks in the heat. My building was open air and we only had fans that didn’t do too much but blow the hot air around.

There’s no way I could ever imagine doing that now. There were days it was just so ho they had to give the kids multiple swim sessions (even more than the norm) and the adults would find ways to jump in, too.

Just glad I’m inside this summer

Sorry you are suffering from such a heatwave! We are lucky this summer. Today was 25 degree celsius which is 77 fahrenheit so quite enjoyable. Binie even comes inside at night because it gets a little chilly.

Hope this night she lets you sleep and both of you get rest!

Hi Karolina, I’m surprised at how high she jumped today. She hasn’t even come down a bit. It even looks like a FS, even though I didn’t have any reason to think that was the case. Could she be reacting to those overnight lower numbers? If so, wow

Hi Karen, lucky today was assemble and follow the recipe day. So no hot kitchen.
It’s a 2 step process, one day I roast her lamb. Another day I follow the recipe and make the batches of food.
It’s a lot of work, but she’s worth it. I’ve been doing it for about 8 years.
I hope you and Chispa are well. It’s so nice to see you!

Humidity is really the worst. I hope you find cool spots in the house and it cools down soon. So good you have AC! I think especially for older cats the heat is really exhausting. I am always surprised as I thought, they are desert animals...

Hope she is breaking her bounce quite gently tonight! Waking up by the alarm is really not nice.... Have a relaxing evening Staci!

Hi Staci. We are finally breaking the heat wave here in the plains. Going into the 60s at night, starting tonight! It should be working your way soon. Tiger loves the heat and looks for the warmest places in the house.

Those alarms are the worst. We had one last night but closer to 1am not 4! I hope she breaks the bounce soon and comes down slow and smooth!

I hear you about the heat. It's brutal. Here we have 36C, which translates to about 97F.

Hi Staci. We are finally breaking the heat wave here in the plains. Going into the 60s at night, starting tonight! It should be working your way soon. Tiger loves the heat and looks for the warmest places in the house.

Those alarms are the worst. We had one last night but closer to 1am not 4! I hope she breaks the bounce soon and comes down slow and smooth!
