HAPPY TUESDAY!!!

Ours began more like a Monday...Doug left early for his doctor appointment before heading to work. Said he thought he heard Jessica moving around. I slept through my alarm I had set to see her off to school and woke up as it was turning itself off an hour later. Went to her room to find she had slept through her alarm, which meant she had missed class and had just enough time to get ready for school - ugh! I've been running behind ever since...

- Called Doug - Doc agreed he could lose the sling. Wants him to keep up the PT and light duty for another few weeks. So, some good. Some not what we were hoping for.
- Heard from my older daughter yesterday. Went for her 29-week OB appt and the doc said all is well. She went to camp with their youth last week and came home sick. Either caught something from them was around something she reacted to. Either way, she spent Sat and Sun in bed. yucky...

All is well with Oreo and Hershey. Both eating well. This morning they were chasing each other and I saw Hershey grooming Oreo.

We find ourselves in what they're calling a mini-heat wave for the next few days. Temperatures in the upper 90's and heat index up to 106. Makes me sweat just thinking about it!

Time to get busy?? Y'all have a wonderful day -

Libby (& Hershey, too!)

Sounds like a crazy day at your house this morning. Good news on Doug, even though it wasn't what you were hoping for. He is healing and it will take time. Great news on your daughter! Bummer on Jessica missing class.

Stay cool and have a great day Libby!

Hi Libby, it does sound busy at your house in the mornings. Hershey is looking good there with some blues coming around the corner. Good news with Doug losing the sling. They like to be really conservative and want to make sure before releasing their patients. Sorry your daighter who is pregnant got so sick but glad her dr said all is okay. Have a good rest of the day and hope you can catch your breath and find a quiet space some time.

Hey nice blues Hershey:) Your doing great!

Sorry to hear your daughter caught a bug. Hopefully she'll feel better soon. Yay to Doug for losing the sling! Hope the PT helps to heal him up quickly!

Hey LIbby -

Thanks for stopping by and for the thoughts & prayers. The staff is AWESOME here. I just spoke w/ my vet and filled her in on Grayson's status. I also planted a seed about maybe doing a little "dog & pony" show w/ the local vets... if we do, maybe we'll invite Hershey to join us as well!

I think it would be good to share not only the FD story, and the polar extremes of one kitty to another (hi-dose/lo-dose), Acro/IAA, and maybe also Kim's Kitty[GA] (regulated on TID dosing) and Mr. OTJ/diet-controlled Chewy! I think we've covered most of the bases!!!

Glad to see Hershey's having a good day, and he & Oreo are doing well! I love that they groom one another!

Hope the good numbers continue.

Lu

Re: 7/17 Hershey PMPS(313)

Hey, Melissa - It was a crazy morning; thanks for the well wishes for Ginnie and Doug. Get this - the class Jessica slept through is a V-Net class that she takes at the satellite campus. They were having technical difficulties this morning and couldn't communicate campus to campus. So - her instructor cancelled class and counted everyone present! Turned out to be the PERFECT day to oversleep!! I was so happy for Jessica. She's a conscientious student and felt awful about oversleeping.

Hey, Ann - Thanks for the well wishes for DD and Doug. She has become much more sensitive to viruses, etc, since she left home. I'm sure a lot of that is her spending so much energy taking care of others (She's a middle school band director, married to a youth pastor.) and not enough on herself. But, some things you have to learn for yourself. Doug is thrilled to lose the sling, but not excited about 3 more weeks before they re-evaluate him to possibly come off light duty.

Hey, Tamara - Yeah, those blues sure are pretty. I'll be glad when he lets them stay around a little longer...I know - can't be pleased. But, at least he wasn't far into the pinks at shot time. Thanks for the well wishes for DD & DH. I think Doug would've ditched the sling today, with or without permission. ;-)

Hey, Lu - I'm so glad things are going well and the staff is so great! I hope your vet is open to learning more. Sometimes I think mine is, sometimes not so much. We saw her, in passing, when we went last week. She didn't speak, but I wrote it off to her being busy with a walk-in. The next day, when I took Hershey's sample in, she came out to speak to the other person in the lobby, made eye contact, but didn't speak. I wasn't sure how to take it...but, now I'm thinking maybe I should've spoken first? Maybe she feels bad about being less than nice the last time we actually had a conversation?? I don't know...

Well, guess I should at least go offer to help fix supper...We're having fried hot dogs/potatoes/onions. I did dice the potatoes and slice the hot dogs, so I'm totally weaseling out...

Thanks, everyone, for visiting. Nice having company over and I didn't even have to clean the house to receive y'all!!!

Re: 7/17 Hershey PMPS(313)

Hey! No cleaning! It’s only us!

Glad things are going well for Doug. I know it’s real hard to be patient tho. 3 weeks will be by us before you know it.

Not a bad day for Hershey. You did hit some blues. We always have something to be thankful for!

Good on you and your family Libby.

Re: 7/17 Hershey PMPS(313)

Hi Libby
Glad to hear that Doug is doing better, at least he lost the sling!!
nothing worse than oversleeping and then trying to catch up all day
hopefully things will settle and it looks like Hershey had a nice blue day!

Re: 7/17 Hershey PMPS(313)

what a nice day for Hershey - all that blue! sorry for the pink pmps, Perhaps a little bounce from being blue today.

Sounds crazy busy there! I am glad though that Doug can lose the sling- that is good news. Hope the PT continues to help. Good news all around on the family. YAY!

Re: 7/17 Hershey PMPS(313) +4.25(306) blech +5(235)

Hey, Donna - Thanks, it's nice to have friends you don't have to clean up for!! Y'all are like family anyway :-D . Let's hope 3 wks flies by for Doug; I think he may be more impatient than I am! :o Yes, Hershey was looking good until the PM cycle. I don't what's different, but not going to stress about it. Just going to go to bed and not worry about any more tests until shot time. :-D :-D

Hey, Denise - I haven't seen Doug's sling tonight; he probably burned it!  Jessica decided it was time to change her wake-up music, so, hopefully, she'll be easier to awaken tomorrow. I'd love for Hershey to see more blues, even a few greens, but, clearly, that isn't going to happen this cycle. I'll be thankful for nothing higher than a yellow, though!!

Hey, Michelle - Maybe the pink is a little bounce. I keep telling him blue is our friend...clearly he listens. Thanks for the well wishes. Doug's being good about doing his exercises at home, so hopefully he'll be 100% soon!

Hope y'all have a peaceful, sleep-filled night -

Decided to do a +7, so I'd know, for sure, how the night went
