Today is Butthead's birthday and I'd like to raise a glass and toast this wonderful spirit who we all got to know so well through his videos, photos, and MJ's narrative of his journey.

Butthead braved his treatments with valor and stoicism. He brought much light and smiles to Lantus Land. He is loved and missed by us all but nothing comes close to the love MJ has for him. What an honor for all of us to have "known" Butthead. Please join me.

((hugs)) to MJ on this bittersweet day, and a glass raised to sweet Butthead, whose bravery and personality always gave me such hope for Willie, esp. as we were in darker times earlier this year. Butthead was a creature who clearly never was defined by his illnesses, and dear MJ always saw him for his sweet soul, and that is an example from which we beans can all learn a great deal.

To Butthead.
 
I'm raising a glass to the memory of such a brave, sweet, soulful spirit. Butthead was one cat that was memorable to all of us and I think of him often, usually when I am transporting one of my kitties in the car. I always think of Butthead sitting in his little seat peering out the car window and listening to his music. Here's to Butthead on his birthday!!

I raise a glass to both of you: Butthead, and MJ. Yours was a journeyed so well respected, enlightening, endearing. We all got to know him so well, cared so very much. I still can see him in his yard, chewing his grass... or riding in the car in his car seat. All such great memories. Here's to you big fella - Happy Birthday!

Such a cute little guy with a lovable personality and strong will to live. His car rides and calm tolerance of everything he had to endure was amazing. His will always be an inspiration.

Marjorie PM'd me recently to ask how I was doing, and as you may have guessed from my absence... not well. She offered to open this condo for Butthead today, and I thank her for that. These past few weeks have been very painful. I miss Butthead so much. Today is his birthday. He would have turned 14. His special Butthead urn finally arrived yesterday, and I placed him in it along with his fur and the rose petals from the Butthead rose, which had faded and fallen off. It's probably not visible in this photo, but the lid says "Butthead". On the back is his registered names and dates. I've been in tears almost constantly since it arrived.

So many of you have seen and loved Butthead's driving video, that I wanted to re-post Butthead eating babyfood.

Sorry to be so quiet and nonresponsive. I'm still trying to follow the condos here, and I keep you all in my prayers each night, especially those who are struggling. Your support and thoughts have meant so much to me through all of this that I want to be able to be there for you as well and pay it forward, but I am too hurt right now. Eventually I will be able to be here again. But know that I am reading and praying for you.

Happy Birthday BUTTHEAD!!!! you are one special kitty!!! and today though you are not with your mamma bean here on earth....you get to celebrate it with all your new friends at the Rainbow Bridge....all those special kitties that had gone before you are celebrating big time along side you!!! so enjoy your special day and have lots of cake and catnip and all the good stuff you are able to find there with your friends!! know we think of you often and we keep your mamma bean in our thoughts and prayers....yes she is sad and misses you dearly....and you WILL ALWAYS HAVE A SPECIAL PLACE IN HER HEART!!! and in ours!!!

the urn is beautiful....and i know you cry...and it's ok....you can come here and vent away with us...we are here for you always!...the video is lovely....oh that baby food on Butthead's face! priceless!!! those are good memories to hang on to....he was a brave kitty!
 
What a beautiful urn and the video is so great. I know it may be painful to watch his videos but what a gift they are. We are all thinking of you, MJ, and holding you close in our hearts.
 
I took some video of Donovan outside yesterday, and just finished uploading them. In one of them, Donny is lounging in his hosta jungle, and not only did he do the happy-eyes-squeeze at the end like Butthead, but there are sunbeams coming through the foliage that I did not notice while I was recording. See what you think...

I love the video of Donny in the hosta jungle. He has such a regal air about him...like a panther in his kingdom! Thanks for sharing
