Yesterday's condo

Well I think I called it last night...I had forgotten I had needed to go get more of China's Nature's Variety Raw chicken because I'd gotten involved in moving DM and then at PMPS when she ate virtually nothing, I'd given her a crumb of cypro

Then I remembered the food and called to make sure they had it (it's over an hour away) and left to go get it....about half way there I remembered the cypro...and the fact that the dog's dry kibble was down where China could get it. Since I know that when she gets the cypro she gets VERY hungry, I had a feeling that she might just have a little

From the looks of this morning's numbers, I think I was right!

Of course in true China style, she's now coming down like a lead balloon!

Gee, she must not have had too much of that kibble - 201 isn't bad, and she did dive right back into the lagoon! Nice work, China. BTW, Cinco seems to be hovering on the shore watching you. Why don't you head towards him and get his attention? Maybe he'll join you and the two of you can surf safely together? Emphasis on the safely - I gotta go out, so I need you to keep an eye on him, please, China. :mrgreen:

Well I think I may have figured out why she's not been eating the raw like she used to (although I don't understand exactly what the difference is)

If it's just barely defrosted, she'll eat it...if it's fully defrosted, she won't...or if it's fully frozen she won't

This makes it really difficult to deal with since it takes several hours to thaw in the refrigerator and you're not supposed to leave it out, but I guess I'll have to figure out a way to do it!

At least she's eating it again!

Not sure where the +2 came from unless she went lower this afternoon when I had to run to DM's (my son was SUPPOSED to go, but kept putting it off and she needed the Zofran I'd stolen for China while she was gone) and I couldn't wait for him to show up any longer.

Of course it could be a food spike, but at 1%, it's hard to think she'd go that much higher....of course this is China we're talking about and she likes to write her own rules

China's letting you get sleep tonight?

You can speed up defrosting raw by putting it in a bath of cold water. Neko's raw food comes in a plastic flat vacuum sealed package, but you could put a nugget or two in a plastic baggie in a water bath. It takes hardly any time at all to thaw that way.

That's a great idea Wendy...and so simple too!

Sometimes the easy things are almost too easy..I was looking for a way to make it hard :lol:

As for the sleeping...we'll have to see about that....you know how she is.....LOL

I think she's going to be good for tonight though since she's surfing that mid-blue range so far

That's exactly what I used to do (what Wendy suggested) before Gracie boycotted raw. Works like a champ.

Cats...they are worse than Goldilocks with their food :lol: :lol:
