7/17: Cedric amps 214, pmps 244

I have not updated his spreadsheets, but thought it was funny that the number was the same at 6am this morning as it was at 6pm last night.

No go on the trap again today. He is too wary. his mom and brother are potential candidates for Friday if I cannot get Sydney; all 3 need to be fixed, but Sydney is the one who is injured.

Sorry you couldn't trap Sydney today. I tried to tell him to go get the food. Guess he isn't hungry enough. Is there anyone who can help you with the trapping and either start earlier or stay later?

I was able to trap some kittens by putting a carrier down with food in it, and a cord tied to the door, through one of the vent holes. I left the door open and waited ... and waited ... until they finally started going in. I pulled the cord and held it until I could latech the door properly. Maybe using a larger carrier - cocker spanial sized, perhaps, would let you rig something like this.

I am going to take my carrier with me tomorrow as well; this is the one I used to catch Dallas, but as cjleo pointed out, Dallas was a cat who was dumped (stray) and Sydney is a feral (although he's a little over a year and i have been feeding him all his life, he is a little afraid, since he's sick).

Cjleo, he's hungary enough, I think he's scared of the trap. he hobble-ran under David's car so I put the trap back there and went to feed the other 3 cats. Sydney just went around it and came over by Suite 4 to try to eat with the others. Momma hissed and swatted him in the head, which lead me to yell at her. She has been beating on him a little, probably because he is injured. Casey (his "twin") could've cared less, he just wanted the food. They were all eating away when I left around 7:45.

I wish I had someone to help me. No takers though. I have to work on Saturday, but to be honest, I don't think waiting longer would help....

Would any of the humane groups around there have some volunteers they might loan you? Worth checking with them.

That's kind of what I was aiming for when I contacted CARE Feline TNR - I work 7 days a week and this is start to get to me. I cannot miss work over the weekend, as I have a specif shift to work and cannot miss work. I am already behind time at my FT job, but in a pinch I can make it up.

If Sydney doesn't cooperate, what can I do? I can only do some much, and currently am $83.17 in the whole on this venture....
Stopped at Popeye's for some chicken for him...
