7/17 - Alice: AMBG 142: +7 134: PMBG 75

Not as high this morning as I thought she'd be after skipping last night. After much debate, DH and I decided to skip her again this morning. Thursday is my busiest day of the week ... I'll be pushin' it just to make it home at midday to test/feed.

After going back and forth about a dose, DH finally said, "let's just skip it and see what happens."

Whew!! When I saw her amps I was going to jump on with a big Don't Shoot That!! But you must have read my mind. Worst that will happen is she'll be high tonight.

When I rushed out the door, Alice was batting a mini tennis ball around the kitchen floor with Kudzu and John, so I know she'll be fine, but it's just hard to turn off that worry switch in my mind! :lol:

Alice hasn't had insulin since yesterday morning (and just .25u at that), but here she is tonight with a PMBG of 75. :thumbup

She keeps doing the opposite of what I expect! :lol:

Well I'd say that makes tomorrow day 2 of Miss Alice's OTJ trial...anything under 150 just let her fly solo. If she maintains normal numbers for 14 days with most of the time in green we party. Looks like all she wanted was to get rid of the cereal.

Looking great! :thumbup And if you do get a higher number, try a "food test" first. Feed her a bit of food and test again in 2-3 hours and see if the number is lower. Food helps spur a working pancreas into action, which is one of the reasons why small meals spread throughout the day is so helpful for some kitties.
