Re: 7/16 Latte AMPS~289

Wow! And the day is not over...at least not with Latte.
I tell ya, I went to work 30 min early (warned them), so I could set Latte up quietly. I guess it was taken that I was staring work early since I ended up with a very curious 3yr old and sick, crying 9 month old helping me. Ugh. You can see why I gave dad a quick no after he vlunteered his son to help us pack up. LOL. It was NOT a good transition for Latte, who was also dropping past comfort level and not eating due to the commotion. Fast fwd to 4.5hrs later and I find her off her mat, crying because the hardwood floor was making it too difficult to scoot (THAT was a godsend).
I let the boy watch an extra tv show so I could spend a bit of time with Latte. It was not until then that she calmed down. I dont know if she slept the last few hrs or stared into space, but she was very calm once she knew I was nearby. Poor girl held her pee all day, I think

. She certainly let it flow first thing when we got home.
We made the best of it. She did get the a/c room...they volunteered it. We offered her ice cream (her fav, but too stressed to eat it). Little Julian and I read some books to her once she was calm and had rootbeer floats in her honor. I hated not being fully present at work.
Please say your prayers she shows a huge improvement in the next week or even few days. I know I cannot do what we did today much more than a week, if even. I do think she is getting a little stronger in the front paws, she can sit up, and about half the time she can get her front legs under her w/o falling right back over. She is VERY Resistant to any help. She would prefer to struggle an hr to the box, fall in it, poop laying down and stay there

. I try to be respectful, but sometimes its just unbearable to watch.
Thank you all for the bday wishes. I think we are both too pooped to celebrate. Maybe something special tomorrow...what I dont know with all the treats she has had in the last week! hahaha
