Checkers ate Friskies breffis okay. I haven't gotten a +4 yet, because he refuses to come out of the tub, and I refuse to bend over and take him out!!
I'm thinking this is a good time to pour nice warm water on him, to clean him up a bit. That will get him out in a hurry, and I can grab him with a big thick towel and give him a good brisk rubbing.....yeah Barbie, that's a great idea. :-D

Back with the results later. :-D

PS....I don't know how to upload my video clips to Photobucket. I think they're too big, and I don't know how to shorten them.

Omogosh, I wish I had thought sooner to record the event.

He couldn't care less, that I poured water on him, as he was drinking in tub, so I rubbed it all over him and poured another one.
He liked it!! That's crazy

He did not however, like getting toweled. He wailed and hissed and snorted, and make weird snarling sounds, so funny, I set up the camera and toweled him again, as he was eating some cheese treats. Of course, he didn't say the same things.
Boy, does he smell and look nice now :-D

That's so funny on the bath. My cats have never minded getting toweled off because they are getting attention and usually just purr and purr.

Nice blues for Checkers today.

Hi Barb, how neat that you found a way to give Checkers a shower, and he doesn't mind, except for the toweling off! I hope you post the video here, would love to see it!

Mr Grumpy had a nice blue day. He spent a while lounging in the tub. At one point, I lured him out, with Wellness Core kibbles.
He watched me drop them on the floor, one by one, and when there were enough, he jumped out, and I got to shower.
It's too hard for me to lift him out, 'cause I need two hands to protect his back, and a third hand to brace myself.
It was nice also, to have him walking around, and not in the cube all day.

Does anyone have a magic way of unsnarling cat undercoat? If that's what it's called.
Checks has a gazillion knots close to his skin. If he even let me shave it, he'd have a bald belly, etc. I don't think I could even get the shaver that close to his skin....under the knots.
Combing can only pull them out by the roots. Tried it...he wasn't happy, and it made a almost bald spot on his side.

Wow....I can't believe Checks not only hogged the tub but also enjoyed his bath!! New surprises every day. I have the same knot problem with one of my long-haired civvies...I'd love to know if someone has the answer, too! I can take care of all his knots except those nasty belly knots...I hate them.

Very nice surf today, too! Have a great evening, Barb!

Cute story of Checkers and his bath. I guess he'll tolerate anything to get you to turn on the tub tap.

Try googling "cat knot remover" and look at the images. I've used tools that look a bit like combs but have a razor at the bottom of the prongs near the handle that you cut through the know. That only works if there is enough room to get it between the knot and the skin. I got them at Petsmart a couple of years ago and donated them to the local shelter as they are always getting in cats with messy coats.
