Trouble is doing well today. He is back outside sitting in the garden. I am not sure why his morning numbers are blue, but they are always low blue. He has an auto feeder that gives him a lc ff snack at +9, but maybe he is eating it later than that. Anyway, he accepted a mix of Wellness Turkey a few weeks ago, so I might go pick up a few more cans. I believe it is lower in carbs than his current ff. Hope all had a good day!

looks good though. Those preshots will probably come down on their own. You may be right that he is eating later. You could try setting it for +8 and see if that makes a difference (some cats take 4 hours after food to bring down their numbers, Lucy did at first).

The AMPS numbers are often the last to come down. It is related to what is termed, "dawn phenomenon." The body essentially gears up for the day ahead by releasing cortisol, a stress hormone. Cortisol raises BG levels so your AMPS is higher than what you would otherwise expect.
