Thanks Mel, not that i have done a whole lot of work this time. But me hanging around in here for the last 3 years while she was OTJ has helped, nothing felt scary this time and I knew I wanted levemir when her numbers raised, so the vet just had to do what i said. She went OTJ on caninsulin, but no way I was doing that insulin again. levemir isthe way for us.

I hear ya that's how I feel when someone asks if I'm crazy for adopting multiple diabetics. Nope because after the first one scares you half to death the next ones are a walk in the park. And of the three insulins I've used give me Levemir every time.

Yeah my mom tried to give Prop her shot tonight just to check if she could and she did good. So if Prop continue her good numbers,i continue to practise with my mom and maybe eventually she can test the bg as well. And then we can talk about going to Greece in september.
Edit: wonder if my mom got all of the insulin in since there is practical no drop. I could press a drop out of the syringe afterwards when i pushed the plunger really hard. Maybe it was difficult for her to feel if theplunger moved at all since the dose is so small.ood thing we have time to practise.

Must have been a furshot. I should have let my mom try the syring with water before giving the cat insulin, just so she could feel the syring. Damn. My fault

Even for a furshot she still looks lovely. Just a nice flat blue surf. And furshots happen even to us old pros. At least she didn't race to the stars.
