Started off with meowing at 5:20 but he stopped after a short time. I think he was announcing that he used his box rather than demanding food!! He finished off his food a little later than usual, around +4.5-5. Maybe that's why. Didn't connect with my vet yesterday but will try today.

Marje, you asked about my mom. She has been off again since the weekend, very tired and angry and we think the infection might not have gone away. By the time we get results it will be the weekend again. We have the shower for my nephew's bride on Saturday so I hope she will be able to attend. On the plus side she wants to buy shoes for it. The negative is that I couldn't get her dressed Sunday, let alone to Nordy's.

Hi guys ..don't you just love it when our kitties have to announce they used the LB? Mocha does it all the time, like she needs a reward for going potty :lol: Sorry to hear that your mom isn't feeling her best .. I sure hope whatever infection she has goes away soon!

My cleaning lady is here so Max was under the bed. I dragged him out to test once she finished in my bedroom and he is finishing his meal from amps. I was hoping he would have come down a little by now but he went up instead.

Stubbornly hanging out in high blue. His schedule is off with Marta here today. I'm thinking that if he doesn't show green tonight, once again I need to increase. Is that correct? Do I go for the nearly .25 or half of that if I do increase? Hopefully surfing blue will lead to better numbers tonight but if not I'm thinking ahead to tomorrow.

There's that dose increase threat again..ya hear that Max..I had to threaten Chi Chi again today too..have a good evening and hopefully he will come down for you.

You know as soon as I agree he needs an increase, he will com down, right? :lol: :lol: I can't figure out why he's just rather grown tired of this dose when he was doing so well.

I do think if he does not read his condo and come down tonight, I'd increase. Libby used to say that cats often do better with a full 0.25u increase. I think of fattening doses as a way to fine tune.

Whether you increase by 0.25 or by fattening depends on how you perceive his nadirs in relation to where you want them to be and whether you want to take a chance that 0.25u will have you much busier. It might be worth a try to just add some fat (he did great on f2.5u before) and see if that's enough. OTOH, if you really want to minimize how much he might have NDW (once vs twice if he doesn't just like a bit more jooce) and want to really kick start him, you could do the 0.25u increase.

Marje, I'm on the fence on this one too. It looks like he was blue all day so perhaps tonight he will see green. I guess if he were to stay between 75 and 220 most of the time it would be okay. I gave him some bupe this afternoon to see what would happen. It's diluted because it's old so I gave him .02 and was gone for a few hours. I came home and he was sleeping on his bed so I don't know if it did anything or not. I sent his ss to my vet and asked about aequan. He didn't call tonight yet so maybe I will hear from him tomorrow.

You know him best. He has been getting green nadirs when he clears the bounce. Maybe just a little fat will work?
