Hey Everyone,

Sorry for the late post, I had to go in to work early at the last minute, so didn't get to log Max's #s in his SS or on here. The numbers below are from memory, but I think they're pretty close. I'll be back to do a +11 and PMPS tonight. Max has been in the greens & blues for a few days now!

+10 133
AMPS 115 (fed 3.25 oz wf)
+1 117 (fed 1tbs wf)
+1.5 90 (fed 1 tbs wf)
+6 115 (fed 1 tbs wf)
+11 137
PMPS 133
+3 164

Yesterday's Condo with lots of testing!

Re: 7/15 Max AMPS 112 +1.25 115

Looks like a good day for Max! I saw last night caused a bit of a stir, but really, he's heading in the right direction! :-) Keep up the good work!

Feel free to tell me to shut up and be patient, but it seems to me that if we hadn't fed Max and extra couple times this morning (which we do not usually do) he would have been below 50 hours before his nadir.

Is 1.25u still a safe dose? Should we reduce, or wait and do a curve this Saturday?

Sorry, I'm an anxious Mama, & as always bow to your superior knowledge!

LOL, I don't think I have any "superior knowledge" but I will tell you that when I was worried Max would drop too low while I was at work, I would give him a little MC before I left. Not generally the recommended way to go about it, but it gave me a little more room to breathe while I was gone.

What I will say for sure, tho, is that you really don't know how low he'll go, or how fast he'll do it. You have to let them go low when you can watch so you can see what happens. There was at least one occasion where my Max surfed in the 50s, and pulled himself back up to over 60 WITHOUT FOOD. He never dropped below 50 that night to earn his decrease. He did it a few days later, I think, but still, he didn't do it when I expected him to. And often he surfed in the 60s just as happy as can be. Usually when he dropped below 50 it was when I didn't expect it and was always a surprise.

So...try to hold out until Saturday. Or see what happens tonight. Get the +1 and so on but without feeding and watch where his numbers go. Just make sure he's on a rise before you stop testing for the night. Usually my Max earned his decreases in the evening. For some reason his numbers were lower at night than during the day.

Good luck!
