Wow on yesterday.... :razz: It was so nice to see the slide into the greens, even if he did it rather quickly. It was even nicer not to see a huge bounce with the PM cycle. He did head up, but not too bad. YAY! At Mannie's +3 yesterday morning he decided that he would be MIA for a few. I knew with that +1.5 that we had an active cycle. so... best laid plans: test again when I'm back home with DGS @ +3.5. but nooooooooooooooooooooooo! Mannie was MIA - well hidden.... I looked in every nook and cranny in this house. no cat... nailbite_smile :shock: so after an hour of searching, upstairs then downstairs, I head back upstairs to find him sitting at the top of the stairs with that "you rang?" look. :roll: :roll: ERRR!!!!! cats!!! It was then that I tested and got a 69. :shock: :shock: A bit trying.... Love ya Mannie, but please don't do that again - OK? cat_pet_icon

All is well in MannieLand! The "how to pet a kitty class" for DGS is progressing... though slowly. It seems that Mannie is not really a willing test subject. :lol: :lol: we get so far and then we get the "uh noooooooooo tiny human, we are done here" look. Class shall resume later today - maybe.... and alas,.... no more nanner sharing for the Manster. It seems his generosity of the previous night with civvie Elsa was short-lived. :roll: We are back to total control.... :shock: He has been there since dinner last night, and shows no signs of relinquishing his post. The boy does love his Nanners. Kitty choir made an appearance this morning... thought they were on mute. The claws however were not. OW! :shock: OK.... awake now.... Breffis was consumed with gusto, clean late club membership still intact. Mannie even snuck in a civvie food bowl raid when I turned my back - thank goodness they all got the same LC fuds this AM, and that their bowls were close to empty too. Mannie.... really.... a raid?.... there was plenty in your bowl..... he disagreed. :lol: :lol: Normalcy in MannieLand.

Today is my last DGS day for the week... We are off for a travel hike up to a river by Snoqualmie Pass - he just loves rivers... I hope to visit condos when the day is done... do know though that I am thinking of you all, even it I can't visit. Think GREEN kitties! Have a great day everyone!!

Michelle, I hope that you and Nicholas will have a wonderful hike to Snoqualmie Pass. I would have loved to have done some hiking when I lived in Seattle, but never had time (or money for transportation!).

WooHoo! Way to go Mannie! What a day you had yesterday. It must have been all the party planning and cooking. Playing hide & seek is not a nice thing to do to your bean though. I love it when Tarragon gets under our bed once he decides no more poking. He knows the exact spot where I can't reach him from either side. Grrrr.

We seem to be off to the races again.... and needless to say DGS and I didn't go to Snoqualmie Pass, not with Mannie deciding to go mermaid hunting :shock: ... which is OK, as I can always take him, DGS that is, on a short hike through the woods here to the shore :razz: , and so we shall, once Mannie jumps on his board.

and while DGS sleeps... update!! hopefully he will nap today, unlike yesterday... :shock:

Morning Ella - wow on yesterday, and we seem to be repeating today - impressive, and one happy bean. I had hope on snoqualmie, but we will have to wait... Mannie has taken over control of the ship today. it's ok... there is always next week, so today we will do local, once Mannie evens out. I know on hiking here in the "early days" - who had the time, or the money to get there... me neither! It is a great place to hike - so many rivers, and wonderful lakes. Out hike season is so late this year - we are STILL waiting on snow melt, and the alpine trails to clear. usually it's late June, not this year - it will be august!

Hi Angela - thanks - looks like today will be the same - YAY!!!! and thanks at the wcr's... I try for a little humor, a lighter spin. Somehow I think it just eases the stress of dealing with all of this. Besides... Mannie is a hoot!

It is at Mannie's pace.. only when he is willing to be a teacher. but that's OK - DGS is still so young anyways... it takes a while for any lesson to be engrained... :lol: :lol: I loved to servant comment - SO TRUE!!!! and yes - I will: different hike now, but they are all fun and I enjoy every second.

Hi Melissa - oh wow on the under the bed thing... they do let us know - don't they! Mannie's fav to clue me in, with the evening cycles, is to go to my bed, curl up under the covers and place his head on my pillow... I know darn well he is saying "we are done. now you, pokie bean, need to go to bed!" :lol: and thanks - so far, another great day with the kid - he is such a happy baby - always a joy!

Tarragon - DUDE! You are on!! We would like to come and hang out at your pool - then maybe if we are all good we can talk your bean into letting you come with us to Gracie's!! I remember hiking Snoqualmie Pass when I went to visit my uncle. Absolutely gorgeous. He lived up htere, 7 full grown Douglas Firs in his back yard, all natural landscaping. But I don't remember the house at all! :? :roll: :lol:

It's nice to see Mannie doing so well!! I was too busy to set up a condo yesterday so I missed my Mannie report. Everything just felt off-kilter because of that! :lol: :lol: Champ has done the hiding thing before and it scared me half to death! It was when I had first bought his cubes. When I finally thought to look in there, he was looking out and laughing at me!! The kitties have to get back at us somehow for all the pokes, I guess! :lol:

Hi Georgia - you guys.... but I do thank you! DGS and I had good hike - not the planned one, but the local stuff is good too - I am grateful for so many places I can take him, once that are short enough to haul a baby on, and have places to stop when food needs to be given.... I am fortunate!

I got a little lucky today in that he napped when I needed him too.... -- it has been a great day for hi - almost a repeat of yesterday, though the entrance into pmps was lower today.. I am curious to see if he goes blue and stays blue like he did last night. -- wasn't that photo the best! love it... I will have to have Nicholas watch that.

Hi Ella - thanks, I thought so too... I would have been gone too long, and well Mannie was impt for today. DGS and I will go when he is here next week... the hikes that I take him on a very short ones.... I still have the issue of feeding him, and getting back home in time to get him back to his mom and dad... short ones work best, as we all know - brings along kids always makes things take twice as long... . The shore was good today too. He really likes the water, so it makes for a great back-up plan.

Hi MJ - I'm not really sure what type he is - he could be part Maine Coon, I don't really know... he's a big guy: 14.8 pounds, a long hair, and no tail. well he has a cork screw of a tail - looks more like a pompom than ay thing else. :lol: and thanks - I think he is too.
