Re: 7.15 Lucy AMPS=236 No vomit last night :)

:-D :-D :-D I'm glad last night went well with no pukus! :-D :-D
I hope today is wonderful for you and Lucy!

Re: 7.15 Lucy AMPS=236 No vomit last night :)

Thanks!! She was an unwanted kitty at a Minneapolis shelter back in 2006...she had conjunctivitis in her eye and her name was Heidi :) It took her a few years to really trust me and she has taught me a lot about unconditional love! She even survived a sky fall from a 6th floor apt when I was in college. I had the windows cracked for ventilation as I was moving out and was required to paint the walls back to white...they had removed the screens for window cleaning... I rushed her to the ER vet and there was absolutely nothing wrong with her! Placed in a shelter, window fall, DKA, Diabetes...what is that...5 more lives for Lucy??

We love her to bits!

Re: 7.15 Lucy AMPS=236 No vomit last night :)

If you ever find some time, we'd love to have you put those wonderful memories of Lucy's adventures into a profile.

She sounds like a special cat and we love to read more about her.

There is an additional document you can create to provide even more information about your cat. This is also optional to create this google document and link it into your signature. The profile is in addition to the synopsis info in your signature. See this link on the how to's of profile creation. profile for Lucy

So glad no pukus for Lucy! She does have some stories to tell, doesn't she!! You two have been through a lot together :-D

Re: 7.15 Lucy AMPS=236 No vomit last night :)

Thanks! I made a profile for her just now...there are a lot of pics of her and my other kitty, Conway, too.

Re: 7.15 Lucy AMPS=236 No vomit last night :)

Love all those pictures in Lucy's profile, even little civie bean Liam :-D . As time permits, I'd love to see you add the stories of her, like you did in your condo today.

Re: 7.15 Lucy AMPS=236 No vomit last night :)

She vomited again tonight...this is exhausting...pretty bummed

Was there any hair in it? Any way she could get into any string, floss, etc?

Love the pics in the profile. She is gorgeous...what a face! Looks like the cats are adjusting quite well to Liam!

I noticed she seems ravenous. She threw up around 10:30 and when I fed her at 11 she snarfed it down...Her puke smells almost like rubber...tonight's mess had a hairball in it...the first I've seen actually look like a ball instead of a tube. She is seriously not exhibiting ANY other signs...I hope she doesn't get sick again tonight...

How do you guys do this? It's exhausting dealing with such a sick cat...I LOVE her so much but she is like my whole life now and I have a baby! My husband is starting to get really annoyed with all the messes...I don't know what to do, I'm so overwhelmed...

Are you giving her anything for hairballs? Coconut oil is good. Just get virgin, unrefined and start with .25mls bid and every three days increase by .25mls until you get to 1 ml bid.

I put coconut oil on her paws just yesterday for the first time...she licked it right up...I put petroleum jelly on her paws after she threw up her first huge hairball/mess.

It doesn't just seem like a hairball though...it's a HUGE pile of liquified food...

Hi Becky,

Love your pics!! Liam is just beautiful, and your kitties are just so at home around him :-D Sometimes our DHs can add to our stress instead of helping it. Some days are just worse than others. I hope you get a run of all good days soon, with no pukus, everyone feeling good, and DH being more understanding and helpful.

Feel better pretty Lucy!!!

Jane

My husband is starting to get really annoyed with all the messes...I don't know what to do, I'm so overwhelmed...

Hand him a diaper and a roll of paper towels and tell him "Take your pick, your turn to clean up one of these messes."
