I was out most of yesterday and didn't get a chance to do spot checks.

Today I'll be knitting like a fiend to finish a wedding present by next week. Knitting a wool blanket seemed like a good idea when I started it back in February. Not so much in July, especially with my cat inching his way to my lap. Boy does it get hot!

And I know what you're trying to do, June! You cannot sleep on the wedding present!

Good luck with knitting Bonnie! I always buy a ton of yarn in the winter and have a long list of things I want to do then never get back to it until it is cold again.

Great start to Junior's day!! I used to knit, crochet, and sew, but after typing for a living for the past 30 years, carpal tunnel has set in and my hands go numb almost immediately when I grip something small. Drives me crazy! I used to do cake decorating, too, but can't do that anymore either! Take a pic of the blanket when you're done and post it!!

I admire people who can knit, sew, quilt, etc. I've never been able to do any of those. Even in elementary school, when we had to take sewing, my mother wound up "finishing" the things I had to make!! Good thing she was an excellent seamstress.
Junior is looking really good at AMPS. Keep up the good work, Junior! Stay off of the wool!!

p.s. I have a friend who spins and knits, quilts, sews--all of it. I'm thinking of saving Rusty's fur that gets brushed out every day. It would make a great hat! She'd probably agree to do it, too.

Wow on the quilt....what a very special wedding gift! I can't sit still for more than five minutes so have never been able to knit, sew, etc. My mother is an incredible seamstress...
