Took urine sample in; there was a trace of blood, white blood cells, glucose, no ketones.
So the vet had me start him back on Cipro 1/2 tab daily, still had enough for 10 days left from last UTI.
He goes in next Thursday for recheck after dental and will take another sample in, if not cleared she will send a sample off to outside lab. Several months ago, he had a gram neg. bacteria causing the infection. Maybe this explains recent higher numbers.,
Think his teeth are a little sore today but hes eating well.

Well, at least you know there are other circumstances that may be causing the higher numbers. Hang in there you two!

Well it would certainly be nice to have an explanation if that's what is causing the higher BGs! Hopefully maybe the numbers will improve over the next couple weeks if an infection clears up and as he heals from the dental.
