Yesterday's condo
Happy Tuesday LL!
China ATE her normal raw for breakfast!! Don't know why, but at this point, I'm just happy she ate it!
Of course now I need to go to the store to get more since we're down to 2 medallions and I'm not sure when I'm going to be able to get over there.
Have PT this afternoon and (another) meeting with DM and the care team at the nursing home. I have no idea why they're jerking her around over there but it's started to make me angry. She's able to walk down two and a half hallways (to get TO the dining room and then the same back FROM) for meals, she's eating much better than she had been, she's doing everything for herself as far as self care and when she talked to them yesterday, they said they wanted her to go to Assisted Living for a week (but she couldn't go until next week) to see how she did
Then today, they went ahead and sent her over to the Assisted Living side of the nursing home and told her to eat lunch over there, but for dinner and overnight, she's to go back to her room in Skilled care. WHY?? This is just so stupid and all it does is confuse her. Everything they're "doing for her" in the nursing home she can do for herself at home better and without the hassle of always having to ask for stuff and then wait for it. It has taken them up to 2 hours to bring her a Tylenol when she's needed one...at home she just has to go to the medicine cabinet. Her pills are in boxes for her to take in the AM and evening, so there's no reason she needs someone to "give them" to her. The only "benefit" of Assisted Living is that they provide 3 meals a day, but she can get 1 meal a day in the apartment building since it's attached to the Senior Nutrition Site (and lunch is her biggest meal of the day usually anyway) and she's strong enough now to fix herself a little breakfast and dinner (plus having a freezer full of prepared meals)
Just so frustrating trying to help her but having the nursing home confuse her like this :evil:
Anyway, sorry for the rant, but I'm getting so tired of the run-around over there!
China...mama has to be out this afternoon, so you be a good kitty for your LL aunts and uncles and surf safely! Maybe you can go ask Cinco to join you and you two can splash around together (while keeping an eye out for each other so to speak)
