good morning !!

could you please take a look at callies ss and let me know what ya think is going on ?? I have been shooting a fat 1u the last couple of doses !
 
Well, that is an unpleasant color to start the morning with. No chance of a fur shot last night? Any chance she got into forbidden food?

I wouldn't get hung up on one bad number unless the trend continues. Any chance you could get a curve in this weekend? Some mid cycle numbers might help us.
 
no I don't think it was a fur shot, and I give them there food and her + 4 last night was 204 ??

I always check her fur after and its never been wet ! I did a curve on her last weekend , how often do you have to do a curve ??
 
It depends. If things are just going along, curves are needed less often. But as Marcy said, if she went down overnight, that could explain the bounce this morning. If you see something that looks unusual, a curve is always of value. You don't have to do it all in one day. You can spread it over 2 days - catching a +3 one day, a +5 the next, etc. Regardless, you only need to get a number every 3 hours or so.

The more data, the clearer the picture. (We hope :mrgreen: )
 
thank you for your replies , I gave callie 1u this morning I will check her at +4 . its been raining and thundering and callie hates that so maybe that had something to do with it ?? oh would'nt it be nice if they had a bg detector like the cops have radar detecor !! you could just point it at your kitty and get a bg reading !!
 
That would be nice.....Someone else suggested an owner's manual with specific directions for your cat.

If you read Henry's thread, he is a cat that panics during bad weather and his numbers do go up. Stress raises bg levels, so that can be part of the problem.
 
You sure are giving her treats after each poke, successful or not, right? Something she really likes?

That is usually the secret to this thing. Poke = treat so eventually they give in to the poke since they know a treat is coming.
 
yup i'm giving both her and her sister treats, I got pure bites chicken and the fish and I also give the a few tuna flakes packed in water for treats. not all at once :smile:
