Touch wood, anti jinx but this morning Tiggy had a semi formed stool! Maybe the renew is working.. I hope... He is in a good mood but now other people (mil) are commenting on his bad walking so I guess it's getting worse.. We are kind of used to it. It's like his back legs give way.. Not 100% sure if its the neuropathy, or hip dysplasia or something related to acromegaly. We have got him back on cosequin to see if that helps. Probably another vet trip is needed but we will need to save some money, and sedate him because we are still dealing with after effects (diarrhea) of the last vet trip over a mont ago!

Saying that though, am Feeling a little better and more able to cope today.

Yeah for shape in the LB! Paws crossed that continues and gets better. I'm sure Tiggy will feel better too. Pretty blues today. :-D Neko is on Recovery SA which has glucosamine too and easier for me to source than Cosequin. I notice she's a stronger jumping up when she takes it. Acrocats get a type of arthritis. I add a couple of drops of fish oil to her food which is also supposed to help arthritis.

And most importantly, I'm glad you are feeling better too! :YMHUG: Scritches to the fur kids.

Maybe I will try that. Petsmart has cosequin but its expensive so I get it on eBay. He hates the flavour so maybe I will try the recovery instead!

What kind of fish oil?

It's weird, he almost seems stiff sometimes so maybe it is arthritis type thing even though he is only 8... I tell you i wish his igf1 had come back higher so we wouldn't be in any doubt.

I use fish oil from small fishes, less chance of mercury issues. I buy Ascenta Feline Fish Oil because I can just get it in the local pet stores. I've also seen it in a vitamin store. Some people here use Nordic Naturals. I've been trying to get Cosequin at the local Petsmart, but they are always out of stock. Have been for over a month. And it's on sale this month. If I buy it from a vet, it's even more expensive. I should look at eBay. A jar of Recovery lasts a long time. Get the powder vs. caplets. Most specialty pet stores here have it.

How is Tiggy with jumping up or down on things?

I hear you on the IGF-1. So frustrating not really knowing for sure. We were "lucky" in that Neko's number was so high there was no doubt. As for age, they treated a 4 year old with acromegaly at CSU earlier this year.

Re: 7/14 Tiggy AMPS 142 +4 112

He really doesn't jump on things any more, occasionally on a low chair and he preps himself for a while first by putting his paw on it and meowing.

Then when he jumps off back down he doesn't always land on four paws as his back paws give way

. It used to be he wold always land on all four except his tail would smack hard on the floor when he landed. We thought it was funny and stupid not realizing it was the start of an issue. Now he can't seem to land even as well as that and I think it puts him off jumping on anything unless he really has to.

Glad things are getting a little better today! So sorry about your day yesterday. yikes! Seems like everything goes wrong at once - we can so relate. Hope the whole crew starts feeling better and hope you don't feel so overwhelmed. Bob and I are praying for you all!

Hang in there!
