Good morning,

Yesterday's condo

Yesterday
AMBG=166 (skip not eating)
PMPS=293 (0.5u); +2.25=320; +6=358

Today
AMPS=313 (0.5u); +2.5=331; +7.5=319
PMPS=236 (0.5u); +2=220

Lucy ate an acceptable amount this morning with the Cypro on board.
I gave it to her at 3am to make sure it would be working at the breakfast time, and it did.
I can tell though that she wouldn't have eaten without it.
Cypro induced appetite is a little different from natural appetite.
She is very lethargic and her legs have been weak since yesterday.
She had a diarrhea this morning.

It's going to be another really hot day today.
I ordered an air conditioner online last night, but it probably won't arrive for a week or even two.
It's supposed to be cooler towards the end of the week, but maybe it will be here by beg-August, and beg-August always gets hot.
I just have to figure out how to mount the hose thing to the window, which will be tricky because of the way my windows open.
I will go to the HomeDepot this weekend, and ask for an idea.

I am exhausted.
I stayed close to Lucy all night.
I really hate to have to go to work, but at least she ate.
Ginger is doing fine.

Re: 7/14 Lucy AMPS=313;+2.5=331

Hi Mariko,
I am glad that Lucy is eating, but I hope she'll
be able to get off the stimulant soon. It will be easier when the weather cools off and/or when your a/c arrives. When we lived in Washington D.C. without a/c we used to put a bowl of ice cubes in front of a fan. Better than nothing. :lol:

Lots of vines for Lucy today. Keep cool!

Happy to hear Lucy ate, even if it was drug induced hunger. I know when I have to give China cypro, her appetite is really crazy high, so I totally understand the difference between "real" hunger and the hunger they show when on it.

Sure hope it'll kick start her appetite so she'll start eating on her own for you!

Hope the A/C unit comes quickly and you can figure out how to get it in the window. Most of them aren't too complicated, but it really depends on the type of window.

Sending lots of good appy vines for Lucy!

I'm so glad she's eating, even though you had to use cypro. The most important thing is that she gets food in her belly. Prayers continue from us....

I'm glad Lucy ate for you this morning. I hope she continues to eat and you get the air conditioner quickly. Sending prayers and hugs. :YMHUG: :YMHUG:

Re: 7/14 Lucy PMPS=236

Lucy is not doing so well this evening.
She only took a couple of licks, and doesn't want to eat anything.
I'll try again when it gets dark and cooler.
She seems just tired and uncomfortable.
I gave Bupe a little over 2 hours ago.
I feel so helpless. :sad:

(((Mariko))) This heat is hard on kitties and beans. I feel tired and uncomfortable too. Have you tried a cool towel on her? Tons of vines coming your way. :YMHUG:

Re: 7/14 Lucy PMPS=236

Mariko, I'm so sorry to hear that Lucy didn't want to eat this evening; the heat does that to me also! Sending a ton of healing and eating vines, and hoping that Ginger's appetitie is good at least. :YMHUG:

I bought our portable air conditioner a few years ago at Sears; it came with a coated foam core that I think you cut to fit into your window opening. In this link you can see the portable model and how that hose fits into the coreboard. I would bet your air conditioner will come with something like that.

(((Mariko)))

You are doing all you can and the best you can. I'm sorry you are feeling helpless. I wish someone could come be with you and at least let you get some rest.

Sending tons of healing vines and hugs.
