Coffee time! For today, I proudly offer Elsa's special 10 hour energy coffee, and triple shot espressos, with beans from Hawaiian coffee plantations: Hawaii Ka'u blend, AND.... for all my Mocha fans: Venti quad Irish cream infused white mocha, with hazelnut and caramel whip, garnished with caramelized nut clusters and white chocolate shavings. SWEET! OH! No worries, a dollop of caramel and hazelnut and Irish cream swirl ice cream, on top of a dollop of fudge, topped with chocolate drizzle.... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh....... mega good! TJ's dunking cookies and Cronuts are along for the ride!
Yesterday was a chore day and an errand day. I did most of what had to be done in the morning, so was able to spend the afternoon on the local trails and shoreline here at home, at Meadowdale. I spent a few hours walking the trails there for a while. I also made the shore, and was able to hike down to the old pier. The tide was low enough so off I went. It was a nice time. Days here has been sunny and made about 73 yesterday. It wasn't an overly exciting day, but still an enjoyable one. I did take photos, and will include them for anyone that wants to see Meadowdale one more time. I liked the mobile uploads I took too, so will include them as well: More Meadowdale... and Even More Meadowdale
Yesterday Nicholas's dad took him, along with his grandpa to see the Thomas the Train exhibit in Snoqualmie, at the RR Museum there. I hope you guys know Thomas, and if not on a brief note: Thomas the Train is a children's animation that has won the hearts of so many young kids, all about the adventures of Thomas. They all just love Thomas. Each year the RR Museum in Snoqualmie has this exhibit, with all kinds of Thomas stuff. The tour also includes a train ride (about an hour) on a train that is all decked out to look like Thomas the Train. I will include the link to the photos that his dad took, but I'm not too sure how many of you will be able to see them, as it is FB, and not my account. If not, well I am taking him on my own next Friday, and can post my photos then. In the meantime, I hope this link will work.... A Visit with Thomas the Train
It was/is so quiet here in the house this morning. Quite the contrast to last night when the kitties were re-enacting the Fast and the Furious: running everywhere like crazy kitties, at warp speed, crashing into things, people, and each other.  Normally Elsa just does her thing, and pays them no mind. She will play some with them, but usually leaves them to their own craziness. last night however I saw her chasing with Bug. That was fun - something she doesn't always do. It was a fun night for them all. Once done they all sought out kitty scritches.
Speaking of cats.I read this post on FB yesterday about this injured kitty who received new back legs. It is so amazing what can be done for animals these days. Per the post: "A few years ago, Oscar was run over by a combine harvester and his back legs were damaged beyond repair. After some discussion, he was the recipient of a groundbreaking surgery in which prosthetic legs were grafted directly onto his ankle bones, called an "exoprosthesis." This first-of-its-kind operation allows Oscar to walk normally." I will share this post, as it is heart warming. I believe all should be able to see it, as it is a public post. Oscar's Second Chance
Have a great day everyone.I hope to hike today, up to the Mountain Loop Highway, and visit Boulder River. it is a waterfall hike, and rather pretty and the trail has been worked on, from what I read. It's been four years since I have been there, so I hope it is as nice as I remember. Paws crossed! I will wait a few, verify weather etc before heading on out . Paws crossed all is well.
