PMPS = 235
+3 = 356

AMPS = 403

Is it normal when bouncing to rise for an entire cycle? Or is it possible that Gizmo is clearing the bounce and dropping low overnight, just to bounce again by morning? I'm not sure if I should be getting a mid cycle test overnight. I'm assuming he is bouncing, so I have skipped it, but after 2 very high mornings, I'm just not sure.

Hi there:cool:
With Feline Diabetes all things are possible. Normal varies from cat to cat and also for an individual cat over time.

I'm not sure if I should be getting a mid cycle test overnight.
You most definitely should. Many kitties run lower on the overnights. Without overnight cycle testing you are essentially missing half the picture as well as making decisions based on half the picture.

Try and sprinkle a few tests into the PM cycles; for example a PM + 6 one night, a PM +10 another etc. You want to make it so that if you step back and look at the whole picture there are no wide open spaces.

I agree with Sandy about PM mid cycle tests and you've been getting them. At least the before bed test every night and a few spot checks later in the cycle which is good. Personally, since sleep can become so little at times, unless your before bed test is close to the same as PMPS or lower, I'd get some sleep while you can. The +2's & +3's at night are a good indicator of what the cycle is going to look like. Of course Gizmo can fool everyone and pull a trick on you. The last 2 nights he's jumped up 50-100 pts at your before bed test...I would've slept too. The night of the 11th is one where I probably would've set an alarm or stayed up to get another test depending on when you go to bed etc. since the PM +2 was the same as PMPS.

Ok Gizmo, time to stop this silliness and head back down but nice and easy.

Thanks @Sandy and Black Kitty and @Doodles & Karen for your advice. If a similar situation repeats itself tonight, I am going to get a mid cycle test just to be sure. I mean it looks like he was bouncing, but who knows. Plus, he doesn't seem to go lower at night (at least not yet that I have caught).

+3.25 = 295
+6.5 = 260

Left the house to get lunch and groceries ... not sure if I missed blues today or if this is a day where Gizmo is going to slowly drop and hit his nadir at PMPS. He eats at +6 also, so I'm assuming that number is slightly higher because of food.
