my last post


been really busy...but not too busy to not take care of my GG...her ss is up to date.

Just having issues right now with how to make sure she's getting fed and the drooler's not eating all her goods.

I have a post on the community board if anyone wants to add ideas.

Tonight I showed DH how to do the BG and the shot...I'm going out after work Friday evening and he's going to do GG's meds that night. He a big show off...thinking he can get a drop of blood no problem! ha!!! he found out really quick that its not THAT easy. And GG is an easy easy patient. Thank the Gods for that. It took him 4 times to get a drop of blood! LOL. Now he knows. :lol:

Gotta go...see ya soon...I hope my life settles back down in August!

So I'm going to nag again...

Can you please try to get in at least one test per cycle in addition to your pre-shot test? With the numbers you're getting, you could be missing dose reductions.

Since Sienne has nagged about the testing, I'll nag about the food. Dry food will only give you grey hair. However.... please learn to be comfortable with testing before changing entirely to wet food because you WILL need to adjust the insulin requirement when you change the food.

LOL, Sienne...I appreciate the nagging...and I just *knew* you would...cuz I haven't been getting any in between numbers...i was running low on strips though too...and I just got back from the store with more! so...i got a +2 tonight. I don't like that number so much.

she has EVO dry and I just picked up some more Special Kitty. I think her numbers were better when I had her in the bathroom alone and she could eat as she pleased....but I do have four other animals in the house and right now the drooler is being a pig and eating everything he can.

DH isn't totally up for the challenge, he continues to remind that I chose to take on this responsibility, he didn't. he is only doing this because I work half an hour away from home...and some ppl I work with want to take me out this friday...and next, but next Friday I have a friend to do her meds and someone else to sit the drooler since he will be back down in NC.

I think the only way he will do her without complaint is if I get a job that doesn't allow me to be her for her pm shot. AND he doesn't understand why I test her BG every now and again between shots. He thinks I'm over doing it...apparently he's a pro at Feline Diabetes even though he has never experienced it before. (/sarcasm) ;-)

Thank you both for 'nagging' me...I'm doing the best I can with a house full of animals, packing to move, stressing cuz I've never lived anywhere but where I am right now...(in fact i have an eyelid twitch that is making me crazy) and a resistant complaining DH.
