Just waiting out this bounce and trying to enjoy a break. I had to cover for my supervisor and do a lunch meet-and-greet with a new employee during my usual "run home and test" time. These small work things become stress points because I have to plan a backup for Bell if she's low, or a backup for lunch if she low low. Ended up fine, but it forces me to shift my entire day. That 37 put some fear into me as well after a yellow preshot. Anyway, still plugging along. It took me a few months to peel the patience pants off without using the emergency scissors, but back on they go!

Bell, on the other hand, is perfectly fine. I caught her stealing some kibble from Blair's feeder today, so I need to watch that. I'm surprised Blair did get aggressive with her.

She was acting like she does in the low 50s. That 37 was a bit food influenced as well, I fed her a decent amount of LC at +3.5, so wasn't planning on checking her until +5 (when her LC usually wears off). But she was being very clingy and restless, so I nabbed a test. Glad I did.

But none of the ataxia and stumbling like she had on the presumed hypo event when she was around 50. Thankful for that.

Sounds like you caught it just in the nick of time! I remember catching Neko in the 30's, sound asleep. Normally if she was awake and low, she'd either walk over to where I kept the test kit, or the fridge.

Usually on weeknights I grab a +3 so I'm sure that would have alerted me on to a big drop. Weekdays I tend to be back anywhere in the +4 to +5.5 range depending on the preshot, so this made me uneasy. Pretty flat yellows (like you've mentioned) might be something to pay attention to (ahem tonight Bell?)

Yeah I remember you mentioning that! That must have got your heart pumping. Bell usually will stand or lay right by her food bowl when she's realllly hungry.

I can imagine how busy your day must have been, with all the commitments and the worry about Bell.
I had moments when I just wanted to run away... and I wasn't doing well. But with a lot of faith and prayer, I would calm down, and then a new day would begin.
I'm so glad Bell is fine 💛 37 is indeed very low. It's a good thing you tested her at the right time. I think we also develop some kind of intuition sometimes - things we cannot really explain, but we just feel that we need to check at that exact moment and... bingo!

Things start to become easier as we understand their curves more and more. I hope your day is calmer today- with the lunch break that makes things so much easier!
