7/14 Alska AMPS=264 PMPS=256

Alska is a little high today - probably a small bounce but not as high as he used to go so I will take it. He was in the blues yesterday.

The kittens left Saturday night so Bing was back to his bad behavior last night and I was back to screaming at him and throwing him in the bathroom. I didn't realize how much the kittens kept Bing in check. Alska has learned to get out of the way of these Bing moments and he doesn't allow Bing to mess with him. Bing attacks the others with intent on getting his teeth into their back. He does this in play. He is not malicious, it's all play. That's how twisted he is! My elderly females can't fight him off. I think it is time to lock him up permanently until he dies (he turned 5 on Friday). I just can't take the stress anymore.

What a great idea!!!!! I never thought of that - I will have to wait for a Toof-er-one special but I think that this would solve all of our problems!!! Thanks Linda

RobinCot - have you ever thought of getting Prozac (Fluoxetine) for Bing? I've read that a 5 mg dose works for cats. I have seriously thought about it for my cat Molly, the growler. She's not malicious either, far from it, but the constant growling and discontent with the other cats really really gets annoying.

The muzzle: I just saw one of those yesterday at a Pet Lover's Warehouse store. How does the poor kitty see?

Holly - I was gonna cut eye holes for him. I considered Prozac but can't administer it. He is very big and strong and stupid. He won't eat any food with anything weird in it and there is no way I could get a pill in him. If I could just spray him... he gets squirt so often that a spray would be nothing to him.

Have you tried Cream Cheese to pill Bing? Autumn will spit out anything else with a pill in it but cream cheese is sticky enough once in her mouth its going down. Also the trick I use a lot is not to give the loaded treat first or solo. I make 4-5 treats out of what I'm gonna hide a pill in. I toss the victim a couple unloaded treats first, then the loaded one, then a couple unloaded treats after. Most of the time they don't catch on that one had a crunchy center. Lol
